Spectralink S33 Handset
Quick Start Guide

Note: If a menu, submenu, setting or a function is not visible, it is controlled by a local administrator. Contact them if a change is needed.
Remove the tape protecting the battery contacts before charging. Charge your handset for 4 hours prior to first use for best performance.

Turning Handset On
PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (3) to turn the handset on.

Turning Handset Off

  1. HoldSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (3) until the question “Turn off?” appears in the display.
  2. Press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4)to confirm.

Adjusting Speaker/Headset Volume
While on call, press the Volume Control keys on the upper left side of the handset to adjust the volume.

Adjusting Ring Volume

  1. PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (5) to enter the main menu.
  2. Scroll to Audio and press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4).
  3. Scroll to Ring Volume and pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4) .
  4. Press the left or right side of the navigation key to adjust the volume of the ring tone.
  5. Press to save your changes.

Changing Ring Tone

  1. Press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (5)to enter the main menu.
  2. Scroll to Audio and pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4) .
  3. Scroll to Ring Tone and pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4) .
  4. Scroll to the desired ring tone and press the right side of the navigation key to listen to the ring tone.
  5. Press the left side of the navigation key to listen to the internal calls ring tone.
  6. Scroll to the desired ring tone, and press toSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (6) select the new ring tone.

Off Hook Dialing (Dial Directly)

  1. PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (7) .
  2. Dial number.
  3.  PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (3) to end the call.

On Hook Dialing (Pre-Dial)

  1. Dial number.
  2. PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (7)to initiate the call.
  3. PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (3)to end the call.

Speed Dial Calls

  • Press and hold a key (0-9) for three seconds, until the call is initiated.

Answering and Ending Calls

  • To answer a call, pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (3).
  • To end a call, pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (7) .

Call List Calls

  1. Press the left side of the navigation key to enter the Call List.
  2. Scroll to the desired name or number, and press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (7).

Call Missed Calls

  1. Press the right side of the navigation key to enter the Missed Call List.
  2. Scroll to the desired name or number, and pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (7).

Phone Book Calls (Local)

  1. Press the bottom of the navigation key to enter the local phonebook.
  2. Scroll to the desired name, and press to make a call.

Company Phone Book Calls

  1. While on hook, press the top of the navigation key to enter the company phonebook.
  2. Search for a name, press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4), then scroll to the desired number and press Dial orSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (7) .

Adding a New Contact to Contacts

  1. PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (5) to enter the main menu.
  2. Scroll to Contacts and pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4) .
  3. Scroll to Local Contacts and press.
  4. Scroll to Add name/number and pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4) .
  5. Type the name of the contact using the keys 0-9.
  6. Scroll to number and enter the directory number/SIP extension of the contact (max. 24 digits/64 characters). Before entering a SIP URI, press and hold # until SIP: is shown.
  7.  PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (9) to store the name and directory number/SIP extension.

Assigning Speed Dials

  1. PressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (5)to enter the main menu.
  2. Scroll to Contacts and press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4).
  3.  Scroll to Speed Dial and press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4).
  4. Scroll to Add to Speed Dial and press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (4).
  5. Scroll to the desired speed dial position and press .
    If the position is occupied, pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (10) to replace the existing speed dial.
  6. Scroll to the desired contact and press .

Locking/Unlocking Keypad
While on the home screen, pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (5) (Left Softkey) followed by the * button to lock or unlock the keypad.

  • Silent Mode On/Off
    While on the home screen, pressSpectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (5) (Left Softkey) followed by the # button to turn the handset silent mode on/off. In silent mode there is no sound for incoming calls and notifications.
  • Exit Menus
    To exit menus and return to the home screen, press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (3).
  • Loudspeaker On/Off
    While in a call, press to enable or disable the loudspeaker.
  • Microphone Mute On/Off
    While in a call, press to mute the microphone. To unmute the call, press .
    Alternatively, while in a call, press Spectralink-S33-Dect-Handset (14)to mute/unmute the call.
