Boot the Razer Phone in safe mode

Safe mode is a method to start a smartphone without loading any third-party apps. It can help isolate an issue by determining if symptoms such as freezing, crashing, or slowdown are being caused by malfunctioning third-party applications.

Below are the steps on how to boot the Razer Phone into safe mode for Android Oreo and Nougat Operating Systems:

Razer Phone with Android Oreo OS:

1. Press and hold the power button.

   

2. On your screen, touch and hold “Power off”.

   

3. Tap “OK” when asked to reboot to safe mode.

   

Razer Phone with Nougat OS:

1. Press and hold the power button to turn off the Razer Phone.

   
2. Press and hold the power button again to turn on the Razer Phone.
3. While pressing the power button, press and hold the volume down button at the same time until the phone loads to the main screen.

   

4. You should see “Safe Mode” on the lower left side of your screen.
