Working Path Overview
- Remote Control : Manage your watering schedule via the APP at any within 500m without interference time.
- WiFi Hub: The WiFi hub with a USB port could be used on adapter or any power supply with USB port.
- Manual Watering: Manually turn on/off watering and set watering time via buttonor APP.
- Watering on schedule: The timer can be set up to several separate watering programs daily. Each watering program has a different start time, duration, and watering frequency.
- Automatic Watering: The App will automatically synchronize the local weather based on your home address after locating information. The timer will execute the irrigation plan according to the weather trigger conditions you set automatically.
- Rain Delay: Manual rain delay in APP from 24h,48h, and 72h.
- Two Watering Modes: Normal and Cycle & Soak mode.
- Co—management with family: Home Settings allows you to add family members and permit them to manage the irrigation of your home garden together.
- Low Power Alarm: The app will notify you when the batteries are at a low power level.
STEP 1: INITIAL APP SETUP
- Download the Tuya Smart App If you don’t already have the Tuya Smart App on your smart device, search for “Tuya Smart” and download the free Android or iOS app
- Open the Tuya Smart App Create an account with your email or mobile number or login with an existing account to begin timer setup.
Note: Ensure your country/region details are correct at this stage. (open the Location Servic) You may be prompted to allow access your location. This allows the app to show weather information, and can still function if you choose to opt out. You also could add the device to your existed “SmartLife” app.
STEP 2: GET LOCAL WEATHER
Program and get weather information based on the following steps
- Open Tuya Smart App and tap
Me” the icon.
- Tap the
Home Management
- Tap the “My home”
- Tap the “Location”,also you could edit the ‘Home Name” ,pick a funny name for yourself.
- Tap “0K” after your location shows correct on the map
STEP 3: ADD THE WATER TIMER
- Insert Two AA Batteries.
Batteries are not included and you will need two alkaline AA batteries to power your timer. Remove the battery cover and install the batteries according to the drawings located in the tray. Firmly reinstall the battery cover back.
- Step 1: Slide the out cover on the rear of the timer in the triangular direction and remove it.
- Step (2): You then pull on the metal tab to access the battery compartment.
- Step 3 Insert 2 x AA alkaline batteries into the timer in the correct orientation and reinstall the battery cover and timer real cover back.
Warning:
- Please use only alkaline batteries.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
- Please remove the battery from long—term no use.
PLEASE NOTE:
Ensure that the battery cover is closed tightly to prevent water and dust from entering.
Your timer is now in pairing mode and blinking a green light every 0.3 second for 1 minute.
Return to the APP home screen, and tap “Add DeviceAdd Device”to add the water timer. Tap “Done” will enter into the timer programs screen.
- Tips 1: If you can’t find the device, please tap the icon “Turn on Bluetooth” and follow the tips to turn on Bluetooth and add the device again
- Tips 2: If at any time you need to re-pair, press and hold the ON/OFF button for more than 5 seconds until the LED indicator blinking in green quickly. At this point, the Bluetooth icon turns gray, indicating that the connection is stop. Tap
Add Device” and add device again.
- Tips 3: If you remove or change the batteries(in condition Bluetooth paired), there is no need to reconnect to Bluetooth. Tap the icon
to turn on/off the device after reinstalling batteries.
APP HOME SCREEN
- Home Management You can locate your home, customize the home name and add family members. It is convenient for you to manage irrigation schedules for different residences.
- Add Devices You can add multiple smart devices on the APP to create a smart home irrigation system.
- Local Weather Forecast Get your local weather forecast from website to realize intelligent watering.
- All Devices A checklist of all the devices you have connected. Tap to enterthe operation page of devices you have added to program the operation schedule of the device.
- Room/Device Management Room management distinguishes multiple devices and adds these devices to different rooms for management and use. Device Management is for removing the paired smart device from the list.
- Scene There are “Tap to-Run” and “Automation” functions on the “Scene” screen. You can automate multiple innovative products by setting conditions and tasks.
- Smart You can subscribe to different value-added services
- Me On the “Me”screen, there are ‘Message Center”and “FAQ & Feedback” functions. You will receive water leaks and low battery alerts on the Message Center”. And you can get FAQ and report issues on “FAQ & Feedback”.
APP PROGRAMMING SCREENTap the water timer on the All Devices list on the APP home screen. It will display all the parameters and functions of the timer manually set on the APP.
NOTE: The Water timer will follow and perform the preset watering schedule after the application is programmed successfully, even if the phone or device loses network connection.
APP PROGRAMMING
Manual Watering Manual
Watering
Your timer has the ability to allow you to manually water without disturbing the programmed schedule. Manual is used to test equipment, run an extra watering cycle in an area, or to use the hose faucet without removing the timer. Press the ON/OFF button once to activate manual watering. You will also hear one clicks at once. LED indicator in ON/OFF button will be up in green. Also, the icon will turn on in green color.
You can set how long you want the preset manual watering mode to run using the app.
Go to “Home” screen > tap the device icon>irrigation Duration>Runtime Select>Save>Start or Stop
Stop Watering
You can stop the flow of water at any time, whether it is during manual watering, or during a programmed time.
Press the ON/OFF button or tap icon once to stop watering.
Default runtime is 10 minutes.
The maximum runtime up to 24 hours

The third picture below shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering for 15 minutes in manual mode.
WATERING PLAN & MANUAL RAIN DELAY
Watering Plan
When your watering plans are programmed successfully, they will be listed on the “Timer” screen. Slide the switch of the watering plan to turn it on or off. Open the Tuya App and tap the device icon on the “All Device” list. Go to “Home” screen > tap the icon>Normal Schedule/Cycle&Soak List>>Turn ON/OFF
How to set up the watering plan?
- Tap the
icon on the home screen of the APP. Then tap + icon choose the schedule type.
- Each watering plan has two watering modes: Normal Schedule and Cycle&Soak.
NOTE:
These two modes do not refer to the difference in the water output of the timer, but the different settings of the watering frequency and duration.
Normal Scheduel Mode: Watering at longer intervals Cycle/Soak: Watering at shorter intervals
Normal Schedule Plan Setting
Normal Scheduel:
Water for a particular period in a day. At this mode, you can set several different watering plans everyday. Each watering plan can be set with different start time, duration and watering day (frequency). Slide the switch of the watering plan to turn it on or off. Open the Tuya App and tap the device icon on the “All Device” list. Go to “Home” screen > tap theicon>tap the + icon>Normal Schedule>Save>Turn ON/OFF
For example:
The picture is below shows that the bluetooth water timer will water for 10 minutes in Normal Scheduel. The start time is every Monday, Tuesday and Saturday at 8:00 am.
CycIe/Soak Watering Plan Setting
Cycle/Soak: Water for a certain period for several time in a day.
Open the Tuya App and tap the device icon on the “All Device” list.
Go to “Home” screen > tap theicon>tap the + icon>CycIe/Soak>Save>Turn ON/OFF
For example:
The picture below shows that the Bluetooth water timer will water for 1 minute every 6 minutes in Cycle&Soak mode. The start time is every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 19:27 and ends watering at 22:27, totaling three hours. TIPS
The minimum cycle duration period cannot exceed the total period
For example:
The picture below (left) shows that Bluetooth water timer will water for 35 minutes every 6 minutes in Cycle & Soak mode. The start time is every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 8:00 am and ends at 8:30. The total period is 30 minutes. 2.The picture below(right) shows the setting fails after tapping “Save”, because the 35 , because the 35 minutes Cycle Duration exceeds the total period.
There will be a time conflict notice when the schedules overlap, causing plans to fail to be set up.
The first situation
Set Normal Schedule mode first, then add Cycle&Soak mode.
For example:
- The picture below (left shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering for 10 minutes every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 8:00 am in Normal Schedule mode. The ending time is at 8:10 am.
- The picture below (middle) shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering for 5 minutes every 5 minutes in Cycle&Soak mode. The start time is every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 8:05 am(At this time, the Normal Schedule mode has not ended) and ends at 8:30. The cycle duration period conflicts with the Normal Schedule period, which means the setting fails.
- The picture below (right) shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering 10 minutes every 1 minute in Cycle&Soak mode. The Cycle&Soak duration mode will work after the Normal Schedule period, which means the setting is successful. The start time is every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 8:11 am(At this time, the Normal Schedule mode has ended) and ends at 17:16.
The second situation Set
Cycle&Soak mode first, then add Normal Schedule mode.
For example:
- The picture below (left) shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering for 11 minutes every 6 minutes every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday from 8:08 am to 22:27 in Cycle&Soak mode.
- The picture below (middle) shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering for 10 minutes in Normal Schedule mode. The start time is every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 8:10 am (At this time, the Cycle&Soak mode has not ended). The Normal Schedule period conflict with the cycle duration period, which means the setting fails.
- The picture below (right) shows that the Bluetooth water timer will be watering for 6 minutes every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 22:30 in Normal Schedule mode. The Normal Schedule mode will work after the Cycle&Soak duration period, which means the setting is successful. (At this time, the Cycle&Soak mode has ended)
Other Settings
Manual Rain Delay
Rain delay applies to rainy days or other weather that causes high soil moisture. During the rain delay, the timer stops watering. After the rain delay ends, the timer will execute the next watering plan according to the programs. 0/24/48/72 hours for choice. Open the Tuya App and tap the device icon on the “All Device” list. Go to the “Home” screen > tap theicon>Weather Delay/0/24/48/72h> Cancel/Confirm.
Watering Events
- Statistics
The water time with flow meter built—in. Keep track of your total water consumption per week,per month and all year.
Use the easy to read statistics histogram to measure how much water is flowing out of the tap.

The Bluetooth water timer will record every irrigation plan. It’s convenient for you to track the implementation of each program. Open the Tuya App and tap the device icon on the “All Device” list. Go to “Home” screen > tap theicon›Irrigation History List
Setting
Click the Cicon at the bottom of the home page to enter and set the flow rate unit (L/GAL), temperature unit (°C/°F) and time system (24 hours/12 hours) as required.
SMART AUTOMATION
Automation & Tap-to-Run
Tap”&” on Home screen > Automation or Tap-to-Run
- Automation means the devices can execute automatically according to the set conditions such as local weather,device status and time. For example, Tuya (or Smart Life) App can obtain the weather forecast information of your home location. When you set the conditions for immediately stopping or delaying the watering plan when it rains, the timers will automatically perform actions that delay or off when it rains in your local area.
- Tap-to-Run means you can control multiple devices and plans with one tap.
How to set up Automation or Tap-to-Run?
Tap the Tap “Create Scene” or “+” > Tap “Launch Tap-to-Run” > Tap “Add Task” or “+> Save Please remember to save all the settings. The device will automatically execute according to what you set.
How to automatic TURN OFF timer on rainy?

NOTE:
Please accurately locate the city where your home is The APP will automatically obtain weather forecast data based on the city you locate.
When it rains,programs will be triggered.
The example of the last picture shows that when it rains in Shenzhen,the valve of the WIFI water timer will be automatically turned off.
TIPS:
You could set up several tasks for one devices or multiples devices.
HOME MANAGEMENT
APP support adding family members and sharing your home device with them to co-management the home irrigation system together.
Tap Me” > Home Management > My home > Add Members
You could share your invitation code with your families or friends via social apps or messages.
And they could help you on taking care of your garden when unattended.
REST THE DEVICE
How to rest the water timer?
- Remove all batteries from the timer battery compartment.
- After 10 seconds,insert 2 fresh AA alkaline batteries.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button of the Bluetooth water timer for more than 5 seconds, LED light will blink, the water timer is now in pairing mode, and reconnect to your smart device. Open the Tuya Smart APP and add the watering timer again.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button of the Bluetooth water timer for more than 10 seconds after re—install batteries. The LED light type from blink to stay on for 3 seconds.
The device will be restored to the factory setting, and all data will be wiped out. Now try to add the water timer device via APP again.

BATTERY STATUS
- The low battery protection function prevents battery leakage.
- The timer checks the battery voltage every 20 seconds.
- When the battery voltage is ≥ 2.35V, all operations return to normal.
