What is USB-ISO-HS
- USB-ISO-HS is a High-Speed isolator that provides galvanic isolation between the USB host and device protects the device from power shocks and avoids ground loops that can be very troublesome in audio.
- It supports USB transfer modes Low (1.5Mbps), Full (12Mbps) and Hi-speed (480Mbps).
- Hi-Speed 480Mbps is required by DACs that support higher than 96kHz/24bit sample rates, and also multi channel DACs.
- High-speed 480Mbps and also used by high-speed JTAG adapters and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes.
- USB-ISO-HS can provide up to 350mA to the USB device. If you need more you can apply an external power supply to the PWR jack, note that your power supply will be connected directly to your USB device, so it should be Galvano isolated also!!! In most of the cases you do not need to apply external power as 350mA is enough.

Power supply
- USB-ISO-HS can take power from two sources:
- External power jack – 8V to 15 V DC, in this case, the maximum current available depends on the maximum current that your external power supply can provide, up to 750 mA
- USB_DEVICE connector – 5V, in this case maximum current available depends on the maximum current that which PC USB host can provide, up to 350 mA
