Passive Stereo DI Box with Midas Transformers and Extended Dynamic Range
Step 1: Controls
INPUTS – Connect your high-impedance source audio to the left and right ¼” TS jacks, unbalanced RCA jacks, or a single 1/8″ TRS jack. Instrument-level, line-level, and even
speaker-level sources are accepted.
The connectors that are not used to receive the input signal can also act as a loop-through to pass the signal on to other equipment. For example, if a keyboard is connected to the ¼” inputs, the RCA jacks can connect to an amplifier or personal mixer while the XLR outputs send the signal to the main mixing console.
PADA -15 dB pad can be applied to each channel for very hot signals. This does not affect the level of loop-through connections.
OUTPUTS – Send the inputs to a mixing console via balanced XLR cables.
EARTH LIFT – This switch may help reduce unwanted hum by removing the ground connection.
