ALEKO EL-13-R Control With External Switch Instructions

Ensure that the EL-13-R control with the external switch is placed outside of the sauna.
Connect the control to the external start/stop switch (included) using an 18/3 wire (not included).

Install the external switch in a one-gang box (not included).
Run the wire from the switch to the control, ensuring it does not run next to line voltage wiring.

Operation

The external switch button will turn the sauna on and off.
An LED light on the control will indicate when the sauna is operating (on) or off.

Compatibility
The EL-13-R control with an external switch does not support wireless connectivity with devices such as Alexa, Google Home, or similar systems.

EL-13-R CONTROL WITH EXTERNAL SWITCH

NOTE
EL-13-R is a special order. You cannot add the external switch to standard control. The wiring shown is just for the external switch. See separate control/heater diagrams.

INSTALL OUTSIDE OF SAUNA

Connect control to external start/stop switch (included) (wire not included). Install the external switch in the one-gang box (not included). Run 18/3 from switch to control. Wire can be 200-300 hundred feet. Do NOT run low voltage wire next to line voltage. The button will switch the sauna on & off. The LED light will come on when the sauna is operating. It will go off when the sauna is off. Will not connect wirelessly via Alexa, Google Home or similar.
