Installation

1. Open the chin guard of the modular helmet / visor of the open-face and full-face helmets.
2. Remove the helmet module cover.
3. Remove the helmet's cheek pads.
4. Install the button module.
5. Install the Bluetooth module.
6. Install the microphone:
• 6.1 Install microphone for modular or open-face helmets.
• 6.2 Install microphone for full-face helmets.
7. Install the speaker module.
8. Route the wires.
9. Secure the cheek pads.
10. Close the chin guard of the modular helmet / visor of the open-face and full-face helmets.

Icon Legend

• Tap: Tap the button the specified number of times.
• Hold: Hold the button for the specified duration (e.g., 1s, 5s, 10s).
• Voice Prompt: "Hello"

Basic Operation

• Power On: Hold the button for 1 second.
• Power Off: Tap the button once.
• Increase Volume: Tap the (+) button once.
• Decrease Volume: Tap the (-) button once.

Battery Check

When powered on, the battery status is indicated by LEDs:

• Full Battery: Green LEDs
• Medium Battery: Blue LEDs
• Low Battery: Red LEDs

Phone Pairing

1. Hold the (+) button for 10 seconds to enter "Configuration Menu".
2. Tap the (+) button once to enter "Phone Pairing" mode (flashing blue and red lights).
3. Select "SMART HJC 11B" from the list of detected Bluetooth devices on your phone.

Note: Upon first startup, the headset automatically enters pairing mode.

Using the Phone

• Answer Call: Tap the button once.
• End Call: Hold the button for 2 seconds.
• Reject Call: Hold the button for 2 seconds.
• Voice Dial: Hold the button for 3 seconds (while in standby mode).

Music Control

• Play/Pause: Hold the button for 1 second.
• Next Track: Tap the (+) button once.
• Previous Track: Tap the (-) button once.

Bluetooth Intercom

This headset can pair with up to three other people for Bluetooth intercom calls.

Intercom Pairing Methods:

Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP):

SIP allows for quick intercom pairing by scanning a QR code in the SMART HJC BT app, eliminating the need to remember button operations.

1. Pair your phone with the headset.
2. Open the SMART HJC BT app and tap the "Smart Intercom Pairing" menu.
3. Scan the QR code displayed on your friend's (B) phone.
4. Tap "Save" and check if your friend (B) is paired correctly with you (A).
5. Tap "Scan" ? and repeat steps 3-4 to pair with intercom friends (C) and (D).

Note: Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP) is not compatible with SMART HJC headsets using Bluetooth 3.0 or lower.

Button Pairing:

1. Each user simultaneously holds the TAP button for 5 seconds until a voice prompt "Internal intercom pairing" is heard.
2. Tap the TAP button on any headset once. The LED will turn solid blue, confirming the pairing.
3. Repeat the above steps to pair with other headsets (C and D).

Intercom Pairing Order (First-In, First-Out)

If multiple headsets are paired for intercom calls, the last paired headset will be set as the first intercom friend.

Pairing Order:

• You (A) -> Friend 1 (D)
• You (A) -> Friend 2 (C)
• You (A) -> Friend 3 (B)

Two-Way Intercom

• Start/End call with first intercom friend (D): Tap the button once.
• Start/End call with second intercom friend (C): Tap the button twice.
• Start/End call with third intercom friend (B): Tap the button three times.

Configuration Menu

• Access Menu: Hold the (+) button for 10 seconds until "Configuration Menu" is announced.
• Switch Menu Options: Tap the (+) or (-) button once.
• Execute Menu Option: Tap the (+) button once.

Troubleshooting

Resetting the Device

There is a pinhole reset button for troubleshooting.

Note:

• Resetting the device will not restore factory default settings.
• The Charging LED Indicator is not the pinhole reset button. Do not press it.

Factory Reset

1. Hold the (+) button for 10 seconds to enter "Configuration Menu".
2. Tap the (+) button twice to select "Factory Reset".
3. Tap the (+) button once to confirm "Reset headset, goodbye".
