Café cooking appliances
Professional, slide-in and freestanding ranges use different possible positions; double-oven ranges can put the label behind the lower door. Cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves and ventilation have their own guide sections.

Café appliances using the dedicated manufacturer month/year chart; keep the full model and serial separate.
Choose the equipment family
Use the complete equipment label, its separate model number and the documented product family. A repeating date code does not establish the model, purchase date, installation date or warranty entitlement.

Refrigerators, wine/beverage centers, undercounter drawers and icemakers have separate label locations. Keep the complete model from the actual plate for the correct manual.
Café places the possible label at the left-front inner edge, visible with the door open. Use its dedicated date-code chart for supported household appliances; model and serial remain separate fields.

Compare the source examples
The serial-only check retains every supported year. The source-context check also enters the photographed model and the decade identified by the source. Those are separate clues: neither the model nor the source’s chosen year is uniquely encoded in these serials.
GA · The manufacturer illustrates April 2001 or 2013 or 2025. The code repeats; this date is separate example context.
AD · The manufacturer illustrates January 2002 or 2014 or 2026. The code repeats; this date is separate example context.
Read the label on your product
Find the label for the actual Café cooking, refrigeration or dishwasher type. Newer tags may include a QR code linking to product information. The model is a separate field; an illustrative sample or QR code does not establish an individual unit’s manufacture date.
Choose your product type to see its label locations. An identification example may illustrate the fields without containing a valid date code.
Scope matters
Research reviewed October 16, 2026. This independent tool applies published rules and retains unresolved years and model candidates.
Café appliances covered by GE’s dedicated Café chart.
Use the candidate years published by Café. A printed manual date or model context may distinguish repeated year letters; serial alone does not.
Only the explicitly selected, confirmed Café appliance date-prefix system. This is not a complete serial lookup.
The manufacturer uses two-letter examples such as GA to explain repeating manufacture dates. Preserve all literal chart years; a two-letter prefix is shared by many units and cannot establish a unique product, full model, factory or warranty.
Choose this option only when entering the two leading date letters from a confirmed Café appliance label. These letters are a partial date prefix, not the unique serial or a model identifier.
Reading your result
Some systems reuse letters or only encode the last one or two year digits. Every supported interpretation is retained. A decade supplied from reliable records can narrow the reading; the tool does not automatically pick the newest year.
Usually the model is a separate plate field. Where published serial ranges actually identify a model, the result shows model candidates and links to their manuals. Overlapping ranges remain ambiguous.
After a lookup, the address includes the serial in a fragment beginning with #serial=. Use “Copy share link” to share the serial and selected context. Opening the link runs the same lookup. The fragment is not a query-string result page.
