Important safety instructions
- Read these instructions.
- Keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings.
- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use this apparatus near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet. Consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug damaged. liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- To Reduce the Risk of Fire or Electric Shock, Do Not Expose This Appliance To Rain or Moisture.
- The Shock Hazard Marking and Associated Graphical Symbol are provided on the rear of the unit.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids shall be placed on the apparatus.
- Excessive sound pressure on the ear- and headphones could impair the hearing ability. Higher setting that idle on the equalizer leads to higher signal voltages on the output for the ear and headphones.
- The power plug should be close to the radio, and easy to be approached during an emergency, to disconnect the power from the radio, just unplug the power plug from the AC power slot.
- Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnected device shall remain readily operable.
- To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.
CAUTION:
These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk of the electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.
Preparing for use
- Open the remote control’s battery compartment, place two AAA batteries according to the diagram inside the compartment, and close the battery compartment.
- Connect the AC power cord to the AC IN socket at the back of the radio and insert the plug into a wall socket (100240 V ~ 50/60 Hz).
- Power on the radio by pressing the Power button.
- Complete the radio’s initial setup by following the on-display instructions of the radio’s Setup Wizard.
- After completing the Setup Wizard, your DDR-66BT is ready for use.
NOTES:
- In order to use the internet functionality of the DDR-66BT, it must be connected to a network that has internet access during the Setup Wizard.
- In order to control the radio using the UNDOK app, the radio must be connected to a network that has internet access.
Controlling the radio from your smart device
After completing the Setup Wizard and connecting the DDR-66BT to an internet-connected network, it can be controlled from smart devices running Android or iOS using the UNDOK app. The UNDOK app allows control of most of the radio’s features and is a fast and easy-to-use alternative to the radio’s controls and the remote control.
- Download and install the UNDOK app for your device by searching for “UNDOK” in Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store.
- Open the UNDOK app and make sure your smart device and the radio are connected to the same network.
- Tap on the DDR-66BT on the app’s home screen and use the in-app controls to control the radio.
Listening to Internet radio or Podcasts
- After completing the Setup Wizard and connecting the DDR-66BT to an internet-connected network, select the Internet radio or Podcasts mode by repeatedly pressing the RADIO button.
- Navigate the radio’s on-display menus by using the V/
,
/Ʌ, and SELECT/
buttons to find the Internet radio station or Podcast that you want to listen to.
- If you want to switch to another Internet radio station or Podcast, press and hold the INFO / MENU button to enter the radio’s menu and select the Internet radio station or Podcast that you want to listen to.
- Use the radio’s VOLUME + and – buttons to adjust the volume.
- Press the PLAY/
button to stop playback.
Listening to DAB or FM radio
- While the radio is powered on, select the DAB radio or FM radio mode by repeatedly pressing the RADIO button.
- If the DAB radio mode is selected in step 1, the radio will automatically scan for DAB radio stations. After the scan is completed, simply select the DAB radio station that you want to listen to from the list that is displayed.
- If the FM radio mode is selected in step 1, press and hold the V/
or
/Ʌ button to automatically tune into an FM station with a lower or higher frequency. If needed, fine-tune by pressing the V/
or
/Ʌ button.
- Use the radio’s VOLUME + and – buttons to adjust the volume.
Listening to audio from other sources
- While the radio is powered on, select the desired mode by repeatedly pressing either the RADIO or the MEDIA button.
- Connect your external device to the radio or place insert a CD with the label side facing up if the CD mode is selected.
- Use the PLAY/
button to start or pause playback.
- Press the V/
or
/Ʌ button to go to the previous or next track.
- Press and hold the V/
or
/Ʌ button to fast rewind or fast forward within the current track.
- Use the radio’s VOLUME + and – buttons to adjust the volume.
- Press the SELECT/
button to stop playback.
NOTE:
If the AUX in mode is selected, playback can only be controlled on the external device.
