BATTERY SAFETY

  • This product contains alkaline batteries. This device requires batteries for use. Only use new Type AAA batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Never attempt to charge batteries unless they are specifically labeled as rechargeable. Do not mix different battery types or sizes. Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries or present a risk of fire, explosion, shock, chemical leakage, or other hazard. Replace all batteries at the same time.
  • Keep all batteries out of reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred or heat the batteries and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals as they can become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your Device for an extended period of time. Promptly dispose of all used batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If a battery leaks, remove all batteries and recycle or dispose of them in accordance with the battery manufacturer’s recommendations. Fluid from the battery can burn skin and damage clothing. If battery fluid comes into contact with skin or clothes, flush with water immediately. Improper handling or disposal can result in injury. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer’s recommendations.

DANGER: CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD: Do not ingest batteries. Keep batteries away from children. If swallowed, battery can cause severe internal injury in just 2 hours and can lead to death. If you think batteries may have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, consult a physician immediately.

OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

  • Your device can withstand outdoor use and contact with water under certain conditions. However, your device is not intended for underwater use and may experience temporary effects from exposure to water. Do not intentionally immerse your device in water.
  • Do not spill any food, oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances on your device. Do not expose your device to pressurized water, high velocity water, or extremely humid conditions (such as a steam room). Do not expose your device or batteries to salt water or other conductive liquids. To protect against electric shock, do not place cord, plug, or device in water or other liquids.
  • If your device gets wet from immersion in water or high pressure water, carefully disconnect all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for them to dry completely before powering it on again.
  • Do not attempt to dry your device or batteries (if applicable) with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device or batteries or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm while your device is powered. If your device or batteries appears to be damaged, discontinue use immediately.
