POLARIS PR1K-RVH00 Ranger 1000 XP and Sohc Reverse Harness Kit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove hood, display housing, and center cup holders / ride command housing / Rockford Fosgate stereo. On SOHC models remove the upper dash panel. Tilt bed up.
2. Remove switch blank or cut out switch hole (SOHC) in the desired switch spot on the dash, route switch plug through the hole, connect it to the switch then push the switch into hole until seated.
   
3. Route the 3 wires with bullet connectors under the dash and up the drivers side roll cage.
   
4. Zip tie the relay to the vehicles main harness underneath the dash, route the 3 pin connector through the rubber grommet in the fire wall and connect to the vehicles pulse bar.
   
5. Find the 2 pin plug under the bed, near the throttle body, remove the cap and connect the 2 pin connector included with the kit, route the wire through the hole at the bottom of the drivers side rear roll cage and rear firewall, secure the harness along the vehicles main harness with the supplied zip ties.
   
6. Route the brown wire to the top of the roll cage where the other wires are, install the Y harness along the top of the rear roll cage, connect the bullet connectors to their matching colors.
   
7. This kit does not include lights unless chosen at the time of purchase. Pod lights can be mounted to the outer roof bolts, remove the roof bolts, install the pod light bracket loosly on the pod light, route the connector between the roof and rear roll cage, make sure the wires are as far away from the bolt as possible to prevent pinching, install the roof mounting bolt through the mounting bracket and reinstall on the machine, adjust the pod light angle and tighten the bracket bolts.
   
8. Connect the 2 pin plugs to the Y harness installed in Step 6, test light operation with the key on, REAR LIGHTS should be lights on no matter the gear, REVERSE should be on only when the machine is in reverse.
