CAUTION
- USE ONLY IN PLACE OF FLUORESCENT LAMPS SPECIFIED ON (LAMP) LABEL. DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR: 13W/6T4/Q/G24q-1, 18W/7T4/Q/G24q-2, 26W/8T4/Q/G24q-3 LAMPS ONLY.
- This retrofit kit is for a 4 PIN MOUNT and can replace 13W, 18W, 26W CFL Lamps with G24q and GX24q bases.
- LED retrofit kit installation requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician. Installation should be performed only by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all relevant federal, state, and municipal codes.
- Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
- Not for use in emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit lights.
- SUITABLE FOR “TYPE NON-IC” RECESSED LUMINAIRES WITHOUT DIFFUSER.
- DO NOT INSTALL THIS LAMP IN A PRE-HEATED LUMINAIRE.
- Do not open or modify. No user serviceable parts inside.
- TYPE A LAMP – Intended for direct substitution of a fluorescent lamp and operating from the integral ballast without any modifications to the fluorescent luminaire.
- TYPE B LAMP – Intended for operation in luminaires with traditional fluorescent-type lamp holders wired directly to the branch circuit. This includes both factory-wired luminaires as well as those converted for this purpose under a retrofit program.”
- This lamp is not compatible with all ballasts. Before replacing existing fluorescent lamps, check compatibility of LED lamps and luminaire ballast.
- This item is rated at 120-277V. Installer must determine whether line voltage 120-277V is available at the luminaire before installation.
- Dimmable only on 0-10V dimmers (when installed with a compatible 0-10v dimmable ballast). This lamp might not be compatible with all dimmers.
- Do not make or alter any open holes in the wiring enclosure or electrical components during installation.
- Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lamp holder terminals to make new connections at lamp holder terminals. Instead, installers should cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make new electrical connections to lamp holder lead wires by employing applicable connectors.
- Installers should examine all parts that are not intended to be replaced by the retrofit kit for damage and replace any damaged parts prior to installation of the retrofit kit.
- MAXIMUM OF 12 AWG THROUGH BRANCH CIRCUIT CONDUCTOR SUITABLE FOR 60°C PERMITTED IN BOX.
- IF THE LAMP OR LUMINAIRE EXHIBITS UNDESIRABLE OPERATION (BUZZING, FLICKERING, ETC.), IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF POWER, REMOVE LAMP FROM LUMINAIRE AND CONTACT MANUFACTURER.
- “This luminaire has been modified to operate LED lamps” shall be marked on the retrofit luminaire where readily visible by the user during normal maintenance including re-lamping.
- THE RETROFIT KIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION. PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE AND APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CODES. THE INSTALLATION GUIDE DOES NOT SUPERSEDE LOCAL OR NATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS.

Installation Instructions
Type A: Electronic or Magnetic Ballast
- Read all WARNINGS before proceeding with installation.
- Ensure fixture is powered by 120-277V.
- Make sure the POWER IS OFF AT THE AC MAIN POWER SOURCE OR ELECTRIC PANEL.
- Remove fixture cover or lens, if applicable. Remove fluorescent lamp.
- Before rewiring, confirm ballast compatibility and refer to the relevant diagram below (Diagram 1 or 2).
- Before rewiring, check the number of lamps per fixture and refer to the relevant section in the Compartment Dimensions chart above.
- If the fixture ballast is electronic, use Diagram 1 for single or double lamp wiring instructions.
- If the fixture ballast is magnetic, use Diagram 2 for single or double lamp wiring instructions.
- Move the CCT switch to the desired setting before installing the lamp. See CCT Selection section.
- Ensure the power input pins on the lamp align with the corresponding contacts in the wired lampholder and then insert the lamp into the holder.
- Turn the power back on. Installation is complete.

Type B: Ballast Bypass
- Read all WARNINGS before proceeding with installation.
- Ensure fixture is powered by 120-277V.
- Make sure the POWER IS OFF AT THE AC MAIN POWER SOURCE OR ELECTRIC PANEL.
- Remove fixture cover or lens, if applicable. Remove fluorescent lamp.
- Before rewiring, check the number of lamps per fixture and refer to the relevant section in the Compartment Dimensions chart (see Compartment Dimensions section).
- If the fixture does not have a ballast, use Diagram 3 (below) for single or double lamp installation.
- If the fixture has an electronic ballast, use Diagram 4 (below) for ballast removal instructions.
- If the fixture has a magnetic ballast, use Diagram 5 (below) for ballast removal instructions.
- Move the CCT switch to the desired setting before installing the lamp. See CCT Selection section.
- Ensure the power input pins on the lamp align with the corresponding contacts in the wired lampholder and then insert the lamp into the holder.
- Make sure the “Modification Sticker” is visibly affixed to the fixture, and if applicable, reinstall the housing cover or lens.
- Turn the power back on. Installation is complete.

When used with a magnetic ballast, cut all wires connected to the ballast. And the PLC can not plug in a 2 pin G24D or GX24D lamp holder.Modify the lamp holder to a G24Q or GX240, meanwhile shunt the lamp holder.

CCT Selection
CCT default setting: 4000K
The color temperature can be adjusted by using the switch located at the base of the lamp. The switch has three options corresponding to three color temperatures. Select a color temperature by sliding the switch to the desired setting.
