PaymentCloud A30 Multilane Credit Card Terminal

Overview

Whether you run a supermarket, cafe, or retail store, you’ll need a payment terminal that delivers. The PAX A30 terminal, also known as the PAX A30 Swish, is an enhanced multilane system designed to modernize the payment acceptance process. With multiple connection capabilities and an optional terminal stand, the PAX A30 guarantees an effortless checkout experience.

Setup

How To Turn On/Off

1. To power on, plug the terminal into an electric outlet and it will automatically power on.
2. To power off, press and hold the power button down for 3 to 5 seconds and release.

How To Set Up an Ethernet or WiFi Connection WiFi

1. On the Home Screen, select SETTINGS.
2. Enter the password (pax9876@@) and press OK.
   3. Tap on WI-FI.
   4. Choose your local network from the list.
   5. Enter the network password, then tap CONNECT.
   6. Wait for the device to connect, then tap the WI-FI NETWORK icon.

Ethernet

1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the terminal’s back plate LAN port and your network.
2. If you’re using DHCP, no other steps are required as Ethernet with DHCP is enabled by default.
3. If using Static
   • From the Android Desktop, tap SETTINGS.
   • Enter the password (pax9876@@) and tap OK.
   • Tap NETWORK AND INTERNET.
   • Tap ETHERNET.
   • Tap ETHERNET IP MODE.
   • Tap ETHERNET CONFIGURATION.
   • Tap STATIC IP.
   • Input the values for the following by scrolling under the Static
   • IP settings:
   • IP address
   • Gateway
   • Network prefix length (this is your subnet mask in CIDR notation)
   • DNS 1
   • DNS 2
   • Tap SAVE.

The default password for the PAX A30 is pax9876@@.

Accept Payments

How To Process a Sale

Chip Credit Sale

1. Insert the card fully into the reader with the metallic contacts facing up and towards the terminal.
2. Ensure the card is fully inserted into the reader when scanning it.

Maqnetic Credit Sale

1. Slide the card through the card reader slot from left to rightor right to left with the magnetic strip facing the body of the  terminal.
2. Ensure the card is fully inserted into the reader when it is swiped-

Contactless Card Reader

1. Place the card or device within about an inch of the reader
2. Center the card over the indicated area at the back of the terminal.

How To Process a Refund

Credit Card Return

1. Open payment application-
2. Tap CREDIT
3. Tap REFUND.

Debit Card Return

1. Open the payment application.
2. Tap DEBIT.
3. Tap REFUND.

Cash Return

1. Open the payment application.
2. Tap CASH.
3. Tap REFUND.

How To Void Transaction

Void Credit Transaction

1. Open payment application-
2. Tap CREDIT
3. Tap VOID SALE.

Settings

How To Change the Date and Time

1. From the home screen, tap SETTINGS.
2. Enter the password pax9876@@).
3. Select DATE & TIME.

How To Reprint Receipts or Reports
While the PAX A30 doesn’t come with a built-in printer, PAX does sell the Elys printer, a thermal printer that can be paired with terminals through Bluetooth or Wi-fi.

Troubleshooting & Tips

How To Do a Factory Reset
Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all data on the device, including transaction history and customized settings. Back up any important data before proceeding with a factory reset.

1. On the Home screen, tap SETTINGS.
2. Enter password (pax9876@@).
3. Select CHECKMARK ICON.
4. Select SYSTEM.
5. Select RESET OPTIONS.
6. Select ERASE ALL DATA (factory reset).
7. Tap RESET DEVICE.
8. Select ERASE EVERYTHING.

How To Reboot Your PAX A30

1. Go to SETTINGS
2. Enter password (pax9876@@)
3. Scroll down and select SECURITY AND LOCATION
4.  Tap on SET REBOOT TIME and make sure it is toggled ON
5. Scroll through numbers to select a time
6. Tap OK
