XSY330 Multipurpose Solar Radio
Thank you for purchasing the XSY330 Multipurpose Solar Radio. Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
Radio Operation
To operate the radio:
- Turn the 'Volume' dial clockwise to power on the radio and adjust the volume.
- Use the radio band switch to select FM, AM, or WB.
- Extend the antenna for better signal reception, especially for FM and AM broadcasts.
- Turn the 'Tuner' dial to select a station. The green 'Tune' indicator will light up when a station is properly tuned.
- Turn the 'Volume' dial to the OFF position to turn off the radio.
Flashlight
The flashlight has multiple modes:
- Press the flashlight button once for high beams.
- Press again for dipped beams.
- Press a third time for both high and low beams.
- Press a fourth time to turn off the lights.
Reading Lamp
To use the reading lamp:
- Open the solar panel.
- Turn on the reading light button; the lamp will illuminate.
- Close the solar panel and press the button again to turn off the reading light.
Charge & Discharge Function
The product features a waterproof cover on the side with a USB output and a USB input port.
- Connect a USB device to the USB output port using a USB cable to power the device. The power indicator lights will decrease as the device is used as a power bank (discharge).
Notes:
- Use the appropriate cable to charge your phone.
- If charging fails, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to activate power output.
- This function is intended for emergency use only. It is not recommended for regular power bank use.
SOS Alarm
To activate the SOS alarm:
- Press and hold the SOS button for 3 seconds. A loud siren and flashing beam will activate.
- Press the SOS button again to deactivate it.
External Antenna
An extendable antenna is located on the right side of the radio. For optimal reception of FM, AM, and WB channels, extend the antenna fully.
Power Methods
A. USB Charging
Connect the supplied USB cable to the input port on the right side of the unit to charge the built-in lithium battery. The blue power indicator lights will illuminate sequentially during charging.
Note: Recharge the radio at least once every three months.
B. Hand Crank
The radio can be charged by turning the hand crank located at the bottom of the device. The dynamo will be activated. The handle can be turned clockwise or counterclockwise. Cranking for 3 minutes at 120 rpm provides approximately 4 minutes of flashlight use or 15 minutes of radio use.
<Note: The hand-crank charging function is recommended for emergency situations. For general use, USB charging is recommended.
C. Solar Power
Expose the solar panel to direct sunlight for efficient charging. The red power indicator light will illuminate when the radio is receiving sufficient sunlight to begin charging. Solar power is primarily used for battery maintenance and prolonging battery life.
Power Indicator
The unit features four power indicator lights (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) to display the remaining battery capacity. The indicator lights remain on during charging and discharging.
