Product Usage Instructions

Firmware Update:

1. Ensure the USB disk has a FAT32 file system.
2. Download the firmware upgrade package zip file.
3. Unzip the file to reveal the upgrade package.
4. For NovoTouch BK2 series:
   • Copy the file named MstarUpgrade_HW10.bin onto the root directory of a USB disk.
5. Connect the USB disk to the NovoTouch BK series product.
6. Power on the device.
7. Wait for the device to boot into the Android home screen.
8. The firmware upgrade is completed once the Android home screen is displayed.
9. Unplug the USB disk from the device.

Firmware Update with USB Drive – For model BK2

Important:
Only the FAT32 file system is compatible with firmware update on NovoTouch BK series products.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. The upgrade package comes as a zip file. When you receive it, you need to unzip it first. In this naming convention, XXXX means the upgrade package version.

1. For Bthe K2 series, copy the file “MstarUpgrade_HW10.bin” onto the root directory of a USB disk.

2. Power down the NovoTouch panel.
3. Insert the USB disk into the USB 2.0 port on the side panel of the NovoTouch panel.
4. Press and hold the POWER button until the LED flashes red and blue quickly, indicating that the upgrade process has started. Please do NOT remove the USB disk during this process.
5. A progress bar is shown to display the completion percentage. Once it gets to 100%, the NovoTouch will restart automatically. During this first-time boot-up, it will take a bit longer to perform some additional post-processing.
6. Once it fully boots into the Android home screen, the firmware upgrade is completed. Now you can unplug the USB disk.

Firmware Update with Drive For Model BKI
This update procedure only applies to the model BKI series.

Important:
USB Only FAT 32 file systems are compatible for firmware update on NovoTouch BK series products.
