Connect a Battery Charger
Before you begin flashing, hook your vehicle’s battery to a stable 2 amp-10 amp charger to maintain at least 12.1 volts throughout the process.
Voltage Lockout Warning
EZLynk will automatically lock out flashing if battery voltage dips to 12.1V or below, preventing corrupt data writes to your ECM.
Auto Lynk Setup (For Pre-Linked Customers)
If you’ve already been set up for Auto Lynk:
- Plug the EZLynk Auto Agent into your truck’s OBD-II port.
- Open the EZLynk app and connect to the device.
- A prompt will appear asking if you’d like to connect with your technician – follow the steps to complete the link.
Manual Link Setup (For L5P and Manual-Link Vehicles)
L5P Duramax trucks require a manual link before we can provide tune profiles.
Here’s how to do it:
- Plug your EZLynk device into your truck’s OBD-II port.
- Open the EZLynk app.
- Tap Technicians.
- Tap the + icon in the top-right corner.
- Enter your technician email: info@northerntuning.com
- Follow the prompts – this will send us your ECM’s snapshot so we can build your custom profiles.
Bypass Cable Reminder
2018+ Dodge Cummins and 2018+ Eco Diesels require bypass cables to flash successfully.
Before attempting any flash, double-check your vehicle model and confirm whether a bypass cable needs to be installed. Attempting to flash without it may result in failure or ECM issues.
