NQD Nodestream Decoder
Product Usage Instructions
- Mount the NQD in a standard 19 Rack using 4 mount points.
- Connect devices as shown in the manual.
- Ensure adequate spacing around the device for cooling.
- Do not apply vertical loading on the NQD device.
- Initial network configuration is required via Web UI.
- Open Web UI via a computer on the same network.
- Configure network settings as needed (DHCP or static).
- Log in to Web UI using default credentials.
- Configure device network settings as provided by your Network Administrator.
- If needed, enter the Enterprise Server ID & key on the System page.
FAQ
- Q: What should I do if the device is not powering on?
- A: Confirm AC is connected and the switch is in the on position.
- Q: What should I check if there is no display output?
- A: Confirm video output device is connected and powered on.
- Q: How to resolve a server connection error displayed?
- A: Check the Ethernet cable connection, verify network settings, and consult your Network Administrator if needed.

IMPORTANT: 100-240VAC 47/63HZ only (UPS recommended).
- Do not use the Display Port or HDMI for output to monitors. (Use the Mini-Display port only).

Installation
- The NQD is designed to be mounted in a standard 19” Rack and occupies 3U of space
Install at 4 mount points
Connect devices as shown
- Ensure there is adequate spacing around the NQD device for cooling. Cooling air travels in the direction as shown by the arrows.
- No vertical loading on the NQD device.
Configuration
Accessing Web UI
Initial network configuration is required via Web UI to set as DHCP or static
- Open Web UI
Via a computer on the same network
Connect your device to your LAN and power it up
DHCP Enabled Network
From the web browser of a PC connected to the same LAN, navigate to: the device serial. local – e.g. au2240nqdx1a012.local, or the IP address of the device
Non-DHCP Enabled Network
Configure the IPv4 network settings of a PC connected to the same LAN to:- IP 192.168.100.102
- Subnet 255.255.255.252
- Gateway 192.168.100.100
- From a web browser, navigate to: 192.168.100.101
- The device will “fall back” to a static IP address when not connected to a DHCP-enabled network – approximately 30 seconds after boot
- Due to the possibility of conflicting IP addresses, only 1 device can be configured at a time. Once configured, the device can remain connected
On the device
Connect the device to your LAN, monitor, and USB keyboard/mouse, and power it up. Wait for a boot to complete, then press alt+F1
- Login into Web UI:
Default username = admin Default password = admin - Configure device network settings as provided by your Network Administrator
- If required, enter your Enterprise Server ID & key on the “System” page
- Once configuration is complete, your device will show online in the Harvest Control application

Troubleshooting
