4. Push down firmly on the car seat base to remove any slack from the LATCH strap.
5. Check the red-to-green tightness indicators on the base. The indicator should turn completely green when the base is securely installed.

6. Test the installation by pulling on the base at the belt path. It should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back.

4.2 Vehicle Belt Installation

2. Squeeze the handle and adjust the base to one of the three positions until the angle indicator shows the correct recline for your infant's age and the vehicle's seat angle.
