Functionality Overview
The Digital Double Sphere Micrometer IP65 by MICROTECH offers various functions including SET, RESET, HOLD, and UNIT switching for different measurement modes.
Operation
- To power on the micrometer, press the 0/MODE button.
- Use the SET function to reset zero in absolute measurements.
- Press and hold the HOLD button to retain the measured value.
- Use the UNIT button to switch between metric and English measurement systems.

- Periodically check the zero setting of the micrometer during measurements.
- Avoid rotating the micrometer screw on close measuring surfaces using a thimble.

A: The IP65 rating indicates that the micrometer is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction.

A: Use the 0/MODE button to switch between absolute and relative measurements on the micrometer.
Q: What should I do if the measured value needs to be retained temporarily?
A: Simply press and hold the HOLD button to retain the measured value on the micrometer display.
OPERATION
- Clean the oil from the measuring surfaces of the micrometer with a cloth.
- If necessary, open the battery cover; and insert the battery (type CR2032) according to the polarity of the electrodes. Blinking display information or absence suggests replacing the battery. After battery replacement on the screen will be ———- indication. Press the SET button to set 0.000.
- Turn on the display by pressing the 0/MODE button.
- Check the setting display to zero. Contact with each other (or with setting gauge) measuring surfaces of the anvil and the spindle, using the ratchet and take a measurement. Rotation the micrometer screw in the direction of convergence measuring surfaces using the ratchet. ip located at the end of screws used only for a reverse spindle.
- Press the O/MODE or SET button and hold it to reset to Zero.
- After switching on, the display shows the measured value of the metric/ English system of units. Press the UNIT button to switch between metric/English measurement systems.

- During measuring, the thimble should rotate only by ratchet. Ensure contact of a workpiece with the measuring surfaces of the micrometer so tightly to the ratchet cranked 2-3 times. Try to prevent warping measuring surfaces.
- This micrometer has auto switch-off function (10 min non-using) ot press the UNIT button for 2 sec. to switch off.
- After work the measuring surfaces of the micrometer were wiped with a cloth and applied anticorrosive oil.

- During the measurements, periodically check the zero-setting micrometer.
- Do not make the rotation of the micrometer screw in close measuring surfaces using a thimble.
- Avoid shocks or falling, even with a small height.
- Do not disassemble or adjust the micrometer persons who are unrelated to the repair.
