Mode Indicator

Connecting to the Mains Supply

**Ensure that the power supply voltage is within the range of 100V~240V . Any other voltage may cause damage to the unit.

The Everest comes with a power adapter for the soundbar. Make sure to unwind the cable to its full length. Connect the plug to a mains socket by fully inserting the plug into the mains socket.

Connect the Adapter to the AC power port in the back of the soundbar (Subwoofer Back View Ref.2).

Press the ‘POWER’ button on the remote control (Remote Control Ref.1) or press and hold the ‘POWER’ button for 3 seconds on the top of the soundbar (Side View/Control Buttons Ref.1) to turn the unit on or off.

Connecting the Soundbar and Satellite Speakers

Please note: When connecting the satellite speakers to the main soundbar, please pay attention to distinguish the left and right satellite speaker.

Please make sure the left satellite speaker is connected to the left side of the main soundbar, and the right satellite speaker is connected to the right side of the main soundbar. “Please note when connecting the satellites to the soundbar the detachable base (Whats In The Box Ref.8) will need to be removed”

When the Satellites are connected to the soundbars left and right port they will charge the Satellite LED indicator will show red to indicate charging. Once the Satellites are detached from the soundbar the red light will disappear to indicate fully charged.

Please note: For a wireless connection the distance from left & right satellite speaker to the soundbar must be within a 20 metre range of each other in order to be successfully connected.

When using the Satellite Speakers wirelessly please make sure that the attachable base (Whats In The Box Ref.8) are attached to the bottom of the satellites.

The Soundbar and Satellite Speakers will wirelessly connect to each other for a surround sound experience. This allows you to place the satellite speakers within the left and right corners of the room to ensure that the sound from your TV fills the room.

To connect them together, please ensure that your soundbar is switched on for the initial setup. To do this, press the ‘POWER’ button on the unit or the ‘POWER’ button on the remote control. Make sure the satellite speaker is also switched on, using the power switch at the back of the unit.

When successfully paired and connected the satellite indicator light will show a solid blue light.

The Soundbar and Satellites should then automatically connect using wireless Bluetooth connectivity.

If you are having connectivity issues, please move the satellites closer to the soundbar for setup.

To disconnect or reset the Satellite Speakers, please hold down the power switch for three seconds. The indicator light will start flashing blue.

Satellites Rechargeable Battery

Please note: The Satellite Speakers have a battery of 8 hours unless set on full volume which will decrease to 4 hours of usage.

Power adapters are provided (Whats In The Box Ref.3) for the satellites. Make sure to unwind the cable to its full length. Connect the plugs to mains sockets – make sure the plugs are fully inserted into the mains sockets.

When the satellite is not fully charged, the indicator light will display as red. When the unit has reached full power, the red light will disappear.

Connect the Adapter to the AC power port in the back of the USB DC Power Port.

Connecting the Soundbar and Wireless Subwoofer

Please note: The soundbar and subwoofer must be within a 10 metre range of each other in order to be successfully connected.

The subwoofer and soundbar will wirelessly connect to each other for a surround sound experience. This allows you to place the subwoofer within the corner of the room to ensure that the sound from your TV fills the room.

To connect them together, please ensure that your soundbar is switched on for the initial setup. To do this, press the ‘POWER’ button on the unit or the ‘POWER’ button on the remote control.

Make sure the subwoofer is also switched on, using the power switch (Side View/Control Buttons Ref.1) at the back of the unit.

The subwoofer and soundbar should then automatically connect using wireless Bluetooth connectivity.

If you are having connectivity issues, please move the subwoofer closer to the soundbar for setup.

Using the RCA Audio Cable

**You will need a TV/audio source with AUX audio output sockets and an RCA to 3.5mm AUX cable (included).

Connect the RCA 3.5mm audio cable to your TV’s stereo AUX audio output sockets (for help on how to locate your TV’s audio output sockets, refer to your TV’s user manual).

Connect the RCA end of the cable to the back of the soundbar via the ‘AUX-IN’ port (Back View Ref.6).

Press ‘AUX-IN’ on the remote control or on the unit (Side View/Control Buttons Ref.2) until ‘AUX-IN’ mode is selected.

Troubleshooting: If you are not receiving a picture, please ensure that the RCA cable is connected to ‘OUTPUT’ RCA ports on your TV.

If your TV does not have ‘OUTPUT’ AUX ports, please use an alternative connection method.

Using the AUX/Line In Port

**You will need an AUX source with an AUX audio output an AUX audio cable (included).

Plug one end of a 3.5mm audio input cable into the LINE-IN port on the back of the soundbar.

Plug the remaining end of the cable into the audio output/headphone output on your MP3 player or audio device.

Press the ‘LINE-IN’ button on the remote control (Remote Control Ref.22) or the ‘SOURCE/MODE’ button on the top of the soundbar (Side View/Control Buttons Ref.2) to switch to ‘LINE-IN’ mode. The Display will show ‘LINE-IN’.

Using the Optical Input

**You will need an audio source with an optical audio output and a digital optical audio cable (not included)

Connect the optical cable to the optical output on the audio source and to the OPTICAL port in the back of the soundbar (Back View Ref.8).

Press the ‘OPTICAL’ button on the remote control (Remote Control Ref.23) or the ‘SOURCE/MODE’ button on the top of the soundbar (Side View/Control Buttons Ref.2) to switch to ‘OPTICAL’ mode. The Display Will show ‘OPTICAL’.

How do I Set the Correct Audio Settings for Optical Mode?

When using the soundbar in Optical mode, or when using the soundbar with a streaming app you may experience sound issues if you have your audio settings set up incorrectly. Using the native controls on your connected device, make sure the audio settings are set to PCM or Optical Audio.

This setting can be found within your TV’s sound settings, most likely under ‘Additional Settings’ within the Sound menu, where you will find options for ‘PCM/Dolby Digital/DTS/DTS Neo 2:5’ (refer to your TV’s user manual for more info).

Using the HDMI ARC Input

**You will need a TV/audio source with an HDMI High Definition Multimedia Interface HDMI cable (not included).

Connect the HDMI cable from the ARC input on the soundbar (Back View Ref.9) to the ARC output on your TV (for help on how to locate your TV’s HDMI ARC output, refer to your TV’s user manual).

Long press (2-3 seconds)the MODE button on the remote control to switch to ARC mode or select the Mode button on the main unit repeatedly to select the ARC mode.

Using the native controls on your connected device, ensure the audio settings are set to ARC or HDMI Audio

Using the USB Input

Connect your USB stick to the USB port (Back View Ref.10) on the back of the soundbar.

Press the ‘USB’ button on the remote control (Remote Control Ref.24) or the ‘SOURCE/MODE’ button on the top of the soundbar to switch to ‘USB’ mode. The Display Will show ‘USB’.

Bluetooth Operation

Pairing a Bluetooth Device for the First Time

Press the ‘BLUETOOTH ‘ button on the remote control (Remote Control Ref.21) or the ‘SOURCE/MODE’ button on the top of the soundbar to switch to ‘BLUETOOTH’ mode. The Display Will show ‘BLUETOOTH ‘.

Using the native controls on your Bluetooth device, select the “Majority Everest” when prompted to choose a Bluetooth device.

If you encounter issues at this stage, please refer to the user manual for your Bluetooth device for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices.

When successfully paired and connected, a confirmation ‘BEEP’ will issue from the unit and the indicator display will show ‘BLUETOOTH’. After the initial pairing, the unit will stay paired unless unpaired manually by the user, or until the device is reset.

To unpair, hold down the ‘PAIR’ button on the remote control for 3 seconds (Remote Control Ref.28). You can now pair the soundbar with another Bluetooth device.

If your device should become unpaired or you find it is unable to connect, repeat the steps above.

Volume Control

To adjust the volume of the soundbar, press either the ‘Volume Up’ or Volume Down’ buttons on the remote control (Remote Control Ref.13/16) or press and hold the ‘Volume Up’ or Volume Down’ buttons on the top of the soundbar (Side View/Control Buttons Ref.3/Ref.4).

Dynamic EQ

To adjust the sound effect of the soundbar, press either the ‘MUSIC’ (Remote Control Ref. 29) ‘MOVIE’ (Remote Control Ref. 30) ‘NEWS’ (Remote Control Ref.31) on the remote control.

What is 5.1 Bitstream?

5.1 Bitstream is the technical word for “Dolby Digital AC3 5.1 or DTS 5.1 Cinema sound”. Like PCM it is sent over a single wire by digital coax phono, optical or HDMI but instead of 2 channels like with PCM, there are 6 discreet channels in the stream. Left, right, centre, sub, surround left and surround right.

Dolby Digital

**For DOLBY DIGITAL to work you will need to switch your TV and DVD player to Bitstream (auto/cinema/surround/Dolby).

• To play Dolby Digital on the Everest, the Player or streaming product needs to be Dolby Digital capable.
• To use Dolby Digital in OPTICAL or HDMI ARC mode, your TV has to support Dolby Digital.
• The UHD(Ultra-High-Definition)/Blu-ray player or TV must have the Digital output settings set to Bitstream, often labelled with references to ‘Cinema surround’ or ‘Dolby’. “The UHD/Blue-Ray disc must be Dolby Atmos-enabled”.
• A crude but effective way to test if the Everest is processing Dolby Digital 5.1 bitstream is to listen to the audio coming from the surround speakers when playing a movie. Most movies on streaming apps have Dolby Digital soundtracks. If when playing a movie there is a person speaking on the screen you should only hear the voice coming from the front bar. This is because the centre speakers in the bar are receiving discrete centre channel information.

Connections

Addition Warnings

The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquid, such as vases, shall be places on the apparatus.

Main plug is used to disconnect device and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the main power completely, the power plug should be disconnected from the main socket outlet completely.

Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Recycling Electrical Products

You should now recycle your waste electrical goods and in doing so help the environment. This symbol means an electrical product should not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please ensure it is taken to a suitable facility for disposal when finished with.
