This document provides a quick start guide for the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard, detailing its features, connectivity options, and setup procedures for various operating systems.

Connectivity Options
The K780 keyboard offers two primary ways to connect to your devices:
- Bluetooth Smart: Connects wirelessly to devices with Bluetooth Smart capabilities. Ideal for smartphones, tablets, and modern computers.
- Logitech Unifying USB Receiver: A small USB receiver that plugs into your computer for a reliable wireless connection. This receiver is designed for computers (Windows, Mac, Chrome OS).
Note: The Unifying receiver is not compatible with Bluetooth Smart-only devices like smartphones or tablets.
Setting Up and Pairing
The keyboard features three Easy-Switch buttons, labeled 1, 2, and 3, allowing you to pair and switch between up to three devices.
Pairing via Unifying Receiver (for Computers)
- Plug the Unifying USB receiver into a USB port on your computer.
- Wait for your computer to detect the receiver.
- Press one of the Easy-Switch buttons (1, 2, or 3) on the keyboard. The LED indicator above the button will blink slowly.
- Press and hold the same Easy-Switch button until its LED indicator blinks rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- Your computer should automatically detect and connect to the keyboard. The LED will turn solid once connected.
Pairing via Bluetooth Smart
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer).
- Press and hold one of the Easy-Switch buttons (1, 2, or 3) on the keyboard until its LED indicator blinks rapidly.
- On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Keyboard K780" from the list.
- Follow any on-screen prompts. You may be asked to type a displayed code on the K780 keyboard and press Enter/Return to confirm the pairing.
- The LED indicator will turn solid once the device is successfully paired and connected.
Switching Between Devices
Once paired, simply press the corresponding Easy-Switch button (1, 2, or 3) to instantly switch control to the connected device. The LED indicator will show which device is currently active.
Operating System Specific Functions
The K780 keyboard includes dedicated function keys and key combinations optimized for different operating systems. The Fn key is used in conjunction with other keys to access these special functions.
Mac OS & iOS
For Mac OS and iOS devices, the function keys provide access to system features:
- Fn + O: Opens Mission Control (Mac OS).
- Fn + I: May relate to iOS keyboard settings or specific functions.
- Fn + Arrow Keys: Scroll up/down or left/right within applications.
- Fn + Delete: Acts as a forward delete key.
- Fn + Control + Arrow Keys: Switch between full-screen apps or Mission Control/App Exposé (Mac OS).
Note: Specific function key behavior may vary slightly depending on the iOS or Mac OS version and application.
Windows & Android
For Windows and Android devices, function keys offer shortcuts and system controls:
- Fn + Windows Key: Opens the Windows Start Menu.
- Fn + Cortana: Activates Cortana (Windows 10).
- Fn + Insert: Inserts text.
- Fn + Delete: Deletes text.
- Fn + Page Up / Page Down: Navigates pages.
- Fn + Home / End: Moves to the beginning or end of a line/document.
- Fn + Enter: Confirms actions in certain Android applications.
- Fn + Print Screen: Captures a screenshot of the entire screen.
- Fn + Scroll Lock: Toggles Scroll Lock.
- Fn + Pause/Break: Pauses or breaks execution.
Note: The standard F1-F12 keys may also have secondary functions (e.g., media playback, volume control) accessible by pressing Fn + the respective F-key.
Chrome OS
The K780 is compatible with Chrome OS, utilizing similar key mappings to Windows and Mac OS for general functions. Specific media and system keys will adapt to the Chrome OS environment.
