This document provides comprehensive instructions for the safe operation, assembly, cleaning, and maintenance of the Clatronic PP 3401 Party Pan.
General Safety Instructions
Before operating the appliance, read the instructions carefully and keep them with the warranty, receipt, and original packaging. Pass on the instructions if the appliance is given to a third party.
- Use the appliance only for private use and its intended purpose. It is not designed for commercial use or outdoor use.
- Keep the appliance away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture (do not immerse in liquid), and sharp edges.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance becomes wet, unplug it immediately.
- Always switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning, attaching accessories, or if it is not in use. Pull the plug, not the cord.
- Never operate the appliance unsupervised. Always switch off and unplug before leaving the room.
- Regularly check the appliance and power cord for damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact an authorized technician. A faulty power cord should only be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service, or a similarly qualified person.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Pay attention to the "Special Safety Instructions".

- Keep packaging materials away from children for their safety.
- WARNING: Keep small children away from plastic film as there is a risk of suffocation.

Special Safety Notes for this Unit
- Place the unit on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Use a heat-resistant board for sensitive surfaces.
- CAUTION: Only use the supplied thermostat. Never use a thermostat from another manufacturer.
- Before inserting or removing the thermostat, ensure the temperature regulator is set to 0 (Off) to prevent failure or overheating.
- Ensure the thermostat is inserted correctly, with the regulator facing upwards. Do not pull the cable when removing; pull the plug. Do not force or bend the thermostat.
- Keep the temperature sensor and holder pins clean.
- WARNING: DANGER OF FIRE! Maintain a safe distance (30cm) from flammable objects like furniture and curtains. Oil and fat preparations can burn if overheated.
- WARNING: DANGER OF BURNS! Exposed surfaces can become very hot during operation. Ensure the power cord does not touch hot parts. Use only buttons and handles.
- Never pour water into hot fat.
- Do not operate with an external timer or remote control system.
Scope of Delivery

Before Initial Use
- Remove packaging.
- Operate the appliance without the lid for approximately 5 minutes on the highest setting.
- NOTE: Some smoke or smell is normal during this process. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Clean the lid and pan as described under "Cleaning".
Assembly
- Mount the knob on the glass lid:
- Place the knob and collar on a flat surface.
- Place the lid upside down on them.
- Insert the screw with washer from the inside through the lid and tighten the knob by hand.
- Mount the heat shields on the handles:
- Under each handle, you will find two drill holes.
- Hold one heat shield between the pan and handle.
- Insert screws into the drill holes and screw the heat shields into place.
Initial Operation
- Place the device on a heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure the temperature regulator is turned to 0 (Off) and insert it into the thermostat socket located on the side of the device.
- CAUTION: Incorrect thermostat insertion can lead to abnormal heating, damage, or accidents. Ensure correct insertion.
- Connect the device to a properly installed 230V, 50Hz power socket.
- Set the temperature control according to intended use:
- 0: Off
- 1: Keeping warm
- 2: Over 100°C (Fried food, hamburgers)
- 3-4: 150°-200°C (Pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, bacon)
- 5: 240°C (Roasting)
- NOTE: The control lamp on the thermostat indicates when the correct temperature is reached (goes off) and maintained (lights up periodically).
Using the Unit
- Preheat the Party Pan for approximately 5 minutes. The pan is ready when the control lamp goes off.
- Cooking time varies based on food type, quantity, and desired doneness. Adjust based on experience.
- Use wooden or Teflon utensils to turn food and avoid damaging the non-stick layer.
- After cooking, food can be kept warm by setting the control to 1.
- WARNING: The Party Pan is hot during use! Hot steam escapes from the lid.
After Use
- To switch off, turn the temperature regulator to 0 (Off) and unplug the device.
- Remove the thermostat only after the device has cooled down, as the temperature sensor remains very hot.
Cleaning
- WARNING: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning and wait for it to cool down.
- Do not use wire brushes or abrasive objects.
- CAUTION: Do not use acidic or abrasive detergents. Never immerse the device in water for cleaning.
- Pan: Remove food residues while warm with a damp cloth or paper towel. For stubborn residues, reheat the pan with a little water. Wash the pan with a soft sponge and soapy water, rinse with clean water, and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Apply a thin film of edible oil to the surface after drying.
- Lid: Clean the lid with a soft sponge and a little washing-up liquid.
- Thermostat: Clean the thermostat with a soft paper towel or a soft, dry cloth.
- WARNING: Never clean the regulator with damp items, as this could cause electric shock or fire. Never immerse the cable loom in water!
