Installation Steps
Step 1: Ceiling Mounting
This step details how to securely attach the mounting bracket (A) to the ceiling. Choose the appropriate method based on your ceiling type:
1a. Wooden Ceiling
Parts & Tools: Mounting Bracket (A), Wood Screws (D2), Screwdriver, Drill (optional).
- Mark the 4 holes for Bracket A on the ceiling with a pencil.
- If necessary, use a drill to create holes in the wood.
- Place a washer and then screw in Screw D2 using a screwdriver.
- Repeat for the remaining 3 holes.
- Ensure Bracket A is securely attached to the ceiling with all screws tightened.
1b. Concrete Ceiling
Parts & Tools: Mounting Bracket (A), Expansion Screws (D1), Wrench, Drill with Ø8 mm bit.
- Disassemble part E (blades) if attached.
- Mark 2 parallel holes on the ceiling using Bracket A as a guide.
- Using a drill and an Ø8 mm bit, create the two corresponding holes.
- Insert Expansion Screws D1 into the ceiling holes.
- Place Bracket A, aligning its holes with the screws D. Ensure ceiling wires pass through the central hole of Bracket A.
- Insert parts D2, D3, and finally nut D4 in order.
- Tighten nut D4 with a size 10 wrench until secure.
- Ensure Bracket A is perfectly attached to the ceiling.
1c. False Ceiling (Drywall)
Parts & Tools: Mounting Bracket (A), Spring-loaded Fixing Screws, Screwdriver, Drill.
- Mark 2 parallel holes on the ceiling using Bracket A as a guide.
- Using a drill, create the two corresponding holes.
- Insert the fixing screws into the holes and ensure the spring lever opens.
- Place Bracket A and screw the fixing screws into the false ceiling.
- Ensure Bracket A is perfectly secured to the ceiling.
Step 2: Driver Connection
Parts & Tools: Motor Support (I), Driver (B), Splice Terminals (M).
- Insert the hook of part I into a hole of part I (this seems like a typo in the original, likely meant part A) to hang the motor and facilitate cable connection.
- Connect the wires from the motor support (I) to the driver (B), matching colors for each connection.
- Check that the central structure is correctly placed.
- Connect all ground wires, including your installation's ground wire.
- Once connected, screw part M to secure it.
- Connect the driver's PHASE (L) cable to your installation's PHASE cable.
- Once connected, screw part M to secure it.
- Connect the driver's NEUTRAL (N) cable to your installation's NEUTRAL cable. Once connected, place part M.
- After connecting the cables, insert part B into part I as shown.
Step 3: Motor Anchoring to Ceiling
Parts & Tools: Screws K, Screwdriver.
- Use 2 screws K and thread them into the parallel holes of Bracket A, without overtightening.
- Remove part I from the hook and snap it into Bracket A without pinching any wires.
- Once fitted into the hole, turn part I to the right and check that it is correctly seated without pinching wires.
- Once part I is seated, place the remaining 2 screws K into the holes and tighten them with the screwdriver. Then, tighten the first 2 screws to ensure it is well secured.
Step 4: Blade Assembly
Parts & Tools: Blades (E), Screws + Washers for Blades (J), Screwdriver.
- With the motor correctly placed, begin assembling blades E.
- Attach the first blade E using washers and screws J with a screwdriver, without overtightening, to allow for the rest.
- Repeat this step for the second and third blades E. Remember not to fully tighten the screws yet.
- Once all blades E are attached, fully tighten all screws J to ensure the blades are securely fastened.
Step 5: Decorative Cover Installation
Parts & Tools: Decorative Cover (H), Screws L, Screwdriver.
- To attach cover H, pass the fan wires through the central hole, aligning the 2 holes with those of the central bracket.
- Screw screws L into the two large holes of cover H without overtightening.
- Then, turn cover H to the right to ensure it is perfectly fitted and aligned with the third hole.
- Once cover H is attached, screw in the last screw L and tighten the rest to secure the cover to the fan.
Step 6: LED Plate Connection
Parts & Tools: LED Plate (F).
- Connect the wires of plate F to the fan's wires, matching each connection by color.
- Then, attach plate F to the fan via the magnets to secure it.
Step 7: Lamp Cover Installation
Parts & Tools: Lamp Cover (G).
- Place cover G onto the fan and secure it by turning it clockwise.
- Ensure cover G is securely attached. Once confirmed, you can connect the electricity and enjoy your new fan with light.
Wall Controller Installation
The wall controller can be purchased separately from the CREATE store. Follow these instructions for its assembly.
Parts List (Wall Controller)
Components include: Controller, Mounting Bracket, Screws, Driver, Remote Control.
Mounting the Wall Controller
Use a switch near the fan where you intend to install the controller.
- Remove the existing switch and disconnect the L and N wires separately.
- Neatly hide the wiring and attach the mounting bracket using the provided screws.
- Next, attach the controller, which will be secured by magnets.
- Remove the back cover of the controller to insert two AAA batteries and close the cover.
Connecting the Controller to the Fan
- To access the fan's driver, remove the two side screws as shown. Once accessed, disconnect all wiring and remove the driver from the motor.
- Connect the fan motor wires to the motor output wires of the driver, and the driver's light output wires to the motor's LED wires, matching connections correctly.
- Connect your home's Neutral (N) cable to the driver's Neutral (N) cable, and your home's Phase (L) cable to the driver's Phase (L) cable.
- If your home has a ground wire, connect all ground wires from the fan, driver, and bracket to your home's ground wire.
- Once the new controller is installed, reassemble the fan. After correct assembly, connect the electricity to enjoy your new controller.
Blade Balancing Kit
Your ceiling fan may experience imbalance in the blades during operation due to irregularities in the blades or their supports. Incorrect assembly or twisted bearings can also cause issues. Follow this procedure to remedy these problems:
- Ensure all blades are firmly screwed to their supports.
- Verify that all blades are securely attached to the central rotating housing and check the tilt of the blade supports; they should all have the same angle.
- From underneath the fan, look upwards and check if any blade support is bent, causing a blade to be misaligned. You can gently bend the blade supports to correct their position.
- Check blade height using a ruler. Place the ruler vertically against the ceiling, level with the outer edge of the blade tip. Measure the distance from the blade tip to the ceiling. Carefully rotate the blades manually and check the distance for the other blades. If blades are not aligned, gently bend the blade supports up or down to align them.
If the imbalance persists after these steps, perform a dynamic balancing using the provided kit:
- Turn on the fan and adjust to the speed where the most wobble occurs (usually the highest speed).
- Turn off the fan. Select a blade and place the balancing clip halfway between the support and the tip, on the rear edge of the blade.
- Turn on the fan. Observe if the balance has improved or worsened. Turn off the fan again and place the clip on another blade to repeat the check. Repeat this process for all blades and identify which one shows the most improvement.
- Place the clip on the blade that showed the most improvement. Move it inwards or outwards along the blade and turn the fan on to find the position where the clip offers the greatest balance improvement.
- Finally, remove the clip and install a balancing weight on the top of the blade, along the center line near where the clip was placed. Use a knife or blade if necessary to separate the weights.
Caution: Maintain a safe distance from the blades. If the clip is not secured correctly for any reason, you could be injured. ⚠️
