- Dr. Sidney Harman and Bernard Kardon founded the predecessor to HARMAN International, Harman Kardon, in 1953. Both Harman and Kardon were engineers for the Bogen Company, a manufacturer of public address systems.

Known for hosting some of the most iconic performances and live recordings, the Roxy has been a cultural touchstone for five decades. In 2023, in celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Roxy sought to upgrade its sound system to provide concertgoers with an even more epic live music experience.
Solution
Rat Sound Systems selected JBL's VTX A-Series to meet the Roxy's demands for fidelity, power, and coverage, while ensuring the system did not obstruct views from any spot in the venue, including the VIP balcony seating. The solution included 12 VTX A8 three-way line array cabinets for the main left/right coverage, four VTX B28 dual 18-inch subwoofers for deep bass, and a selection of AE Compact speakers for fills. Crown I-Tech 4X3500HD DriveCore™ four-channel amplifiers were used to power the system, ensuring consistent, high-quality sound performance. JBL's user-friendly VTX rigging hardware was instrumental in the successful installation and overcoming the tricky corner stage layout of the Roxy.

Through a long and successful partnership outfitting Carnival's entire fleet of advanced vessels, Martin Professional was selected to provide entertainment lighting for all of Jubilee's entertainment venues. To surpass every lighting need and requirement in the design, a variety of Martin's most powerful, efficient and progressive fixture ranges were specified for installation throughout the ship's venues.

The original 363 Oxford Street store opened in July 1921 and quickly gained a worldwide reputation for its huge range and quality of service. In designing the new store, hmv was unequivocal in the importance of a quality sound system.
Solution
hmv turned to HARMAN's JBL Professional loudspeakers, installed by Inurface Media via Sound Technology Ltd, to provide high-quality audio across their store and live performance stage. Inspired by JBL's work with Jack White's Third Man Records, hmv sought JBL's range for its flexibility and superior sound. The ground floor features ten JBL Control 65 speakers, with additional subwoofers, while the first floor and basement use JBL Control 23-1 speakers and subwoofers. The live stage showcases AKG microphones and JBL's SRX900 line-array system, powered by Crown amplifiers. The setup ensures a premium audio experience for customers and artists alike.
