- COAXIAL (Coaxial Input)
- AES/EBU (AES/EBU Input)
- I2S(HDMI) (I2S Input)
Outputs (Output Methods)
- ALL LINE OUT (All Outputs)
- BALANCED (Balanced Output)
- UNBALANCED (Unbalanced Output)
PCM FILTER (PCM Filters)
- FILTER OFF (Filter disabled, NOS mode)
- MINIMUM PHASE (Minimum Phase)
- APODIZING (Apodizing, fast roll-off, linear phase filter)
- LINEAR FAST (Linear Fast, fast roll-off, linear phase filter)
- LINEAR SLOW (Linear Slow, slow roll-off, linear phase filter)
- MINIMUM FAST (Minimum Fast, fast roll-off, minimum phase filter)
- MINIMUM SLOW (Minimum Slow, slow roll-off, minimum phase filter)
- LOW DISPERSION (Low Dispersion, low delay)
DSD FILTER (DSD Filters)
- 47k CUT-OFF (47kHz frequency cutoff)
- 50k CUT-OFF (50kHz frequency cutoff)
- 60k CUT-OFF (60kHz frequency cutoff)
- 70k CUT-OFF (70kHz frequency cutoff)
PRE MODE (Preamplifier Mode)
PRE MODE is the volume adjustment function switch for the output.
- VARIABLE: The output volume is controlled by the unit.
- FIXED: The output volume is fixed.
SOUND COLOR (Sound Color Settings)
The SU-X offers 9 sound color settings, achieved through DAC internal DSP processing:
- Rich1, Rich2, Rich3 (Rich overtone)
- Tube1, Tube2, Tube3 (Tube sound character)
- Crystal1, Crystal2, Crystal3 (High-definition clarity)
These settings alter the sound character without changing the frequency response curve. Setting to "Standard" bypasses these functions.
FN KEY FOR (FN Key Functionality)
- OUTPUTS (Output Selection)
- BLUETOOTH (Switch to Bluetooth Input)
DPLL (DPLL Setting)
The DPLL setting adjusts the internal DPLL digital phase-locked loop circuit bandwidth to balance anti-clock jitter and input tolerance. It offers 15 levels (default is 7). A higher number increases adaptability to jitter, while a lower number improves performance against clock jitter.
Functionality:
- When the input signal's clock stability is good, reducing this value can enhance system clock performance.
- When the input signal's clock stability is poor, the sound may be interrupted. Increasing this value can prevent sound interruptions, especially when using TV as a signal source.
I2S MODE (I2S Mode)
This option matches different I2S interface standards. Please check the interface definition of the signal source before use.
- NORMAL: PS AUDIO format.
- REVERSED: DATA and LRCK are inverted.
Diagrams showing I2S pinouts for NORMAL and REVERSED modes are provided, illustrating pin assignments for BCK, MCLK, DATA, LRCLK, GND, MUTE, DSD FLAG, and NC.
DIMMER (Screen Dimmer)
Sets the auto screen-off time from 5 seconds to 60 seconds. After the set time, the screen will automatically turn off. The screen will re-light up upon any operation of the remote control or the knob. This feature helps reduce light pollution and enhance the listening environment.
BRIGHTNESS (Display Brightness)
Adjustable from 1% to 99%.
RESET (System Reset)
- During Bluetooth input, long-pressing the middle button of the knob will only reset the Bluetooth pairing status.
- During other inputs, long-pressing the middle button of the knob will clear all settings, including Bluetooth pairing.
About MQA
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. The master MQA file is fully authenticated and is small enough to stream or download. The SU-X includes MQA technology, which enables playback of MQA audio files and streams, delivering the sound of the original master recording.
For more information, visit: https://www.mqa.co.uk/how-it-works
How to Play MQA
- The SU-X supports MQA decoding via USB, optical fiber, and coaxial inputs.
- SU-X's MQA playback does not require special playback software. Software supporting ASIO or WASAPI audio output (e.g., foobar2000, Audirvanaplus) is sufficient. It is recommended to set the computer's volume to maximum when playing MQA audio for optimal output.
- When playing an MQA file, the sampling rate of the original master recording is displayed.

Notes on Playing MQA-CD
- Please ensure that the disc being played is a genuine MQA-CD.
- Verify that the optical or coaxial signal output from the CD player is unprocessed source code.
Remote Control
Notes:
- If the remote control is ineffective even when close to the unit, replace the battery with a new one.
- If the remote control will not be used for a long time, remove its battery.
- Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.

The remote control features the following buttons:
- Power ON/OFF ?
- Up
- MENU/OK
- Right
- Left
