SOUND COLOR (Tone Menu)
The unit features 9 sound color modes processed by the DAC's DSP:
- Rich1, Rich2, Rich3: (Rich harmonics)
- Tube1, Tube2, Tube3: (Tube sound)
- Crystal1, Crystal2, Crystal3: (High clarity)
These settings use the DAC's internal DSP to create different sound color effects. All settings do not alter the frequency response curve. Setting to "Standard" mode will bypass this function.
PRE MODE (Preamplifier Mode)
PRE MODE is the volume adjustment function switch for the output interface:
- VARIABLE: The output interface volume is controlled.
- FIXED: The output interface volume is fixed.
DPLL (DPLL Settings)
MIN ~ MAX: (Total of 15 levels, default is 7. Higher numbers offer stronger jitter adaptation range; lower numbers provide better performance against clock jitter.)
This DPLL setting is a special function of ESS series products. It adjusts the internal DPLL digital phase-locked loop circuit's bandwidth, balancing anti-clock jitter and input tolerance.
Functionality:
- When the input signal's clock stability is good, reducing this value can improve system clock performance.
- If the input signal's clock stability is poor, causing sound interruptions, increasing this value can prevent interruptions, especially when using TV as a signal source.
FN KEY FOR (FN Button Function)
- OUTPUTS: (Output selection)
- BLUETOOTH: (Switch to Bluetooth input)
- PHASE: (Switch output phase)
I2S MODE (I2S Mode)
- NORMAL: (Normal, PS AUDIO format)
- REVERSED: (Inverted, DATA and LRCK inverted)
Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the pinouts for I2S connections. The 'NORMAL' diagram shows standard pin assignments for GND, BCK, MCLK, DATA, LRCLK, NC, and DSD FLAG. The 'REVERSED' diagram indicates inversions or alternative assignments for DATA and LRCK pins. Note: This option is used to match different I2S interface standards; check the signal source's interface definition before use.
AUDIO PHASE
- NORMAL: (2+, 3-)
- INVERTED: (2-, 3+)
Diagram Description: The diagrams show audio phase connections. The 'NORMAL' diagram indicates connections at 2+ and 3-. The 'INVERTED' diagram indicates connections at 2- and 3+.
DIMMER (Automatic Screen Off)
Setting: 5 seconds ~ 60 seconds. After setting, the screen will automatically turn off within this time. The screen will relight if the remote control or the knob is operated at any time. This greatly reduces light pollution and enhances the listening environment comfort!
BRIGHTNESS (Display Brightness Setting)
- LEVEL 1 ~ LEVEL 6
RESET (System Reset)
- During Bluetooth input, long-press the middle button of the knob; the system will only reset the Bluetooth pairing status.
- During other inputs, long-press the middle button of the knob; the system will clear all settings, including Bluetooth.
