What is a Microscope?
A microscope uses two lens systems: the eyepiece and the objective. The objective lens magnifies the specimen, and the eyepiece further magnifies this intermediate image, allowing you to see a magnified view.
Assembly and Location
Choose a well-lit and stable location for your microscope. A stable surface is crucial for clear observations.
Normal Observation
Place the microscope in a bright area. Adjust the microscope arm for a comfortable viewing position. Set the focus knob to its upper limit and the objective turret to the lowest magnification. Look through the eyepiece and adjust the mirror (or use the built-in light) to achieve a uniformly bright circle of light. Place a prepared slide on the stage under the objective. Adjust the focus knob slowly to sharpen the image. You can then select higher magnifications by rotating the objective turret. Remember to readjust the focus for each new magnification. Higher magnifications require more light for optimal illumination.
Tip: Avoid directing the mirror towards direct sunlight, as this can cause glare and obscure the image.
Observation (Electric Light) ?
Before first use, remove the protective foil from the battery compartment. Locate the light source on the base, flip it upwards, and press the button to turn it on. The light illuminates the specimen from below.
Tip: Higher magnification requires more light. Always start experiments with lower magnifications.
Battery Change ?
- Remove the safety screw from the cover.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Slide out the coin battery holder.
- Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) terminal facing down and the negative (-) terminal facing up.
- Replace the battery cover.
- Re-insert the safety screw.
