Operation
Location
Choose a suitable location for observation. Ensure adequate light is available, such as from a window or desk lamp.
Simple Observation
Place the object to be observed (e.g., a stone) in the center of the microscope stage (5). If the object is large enough, secure it with the stage clips (6). Look through the binocular view piece (1) and adjust the distance between the eyepieces (3) until you see a clear, circular image. Adjust the image sharpness by slowly turning the focus knob (7).
Illumination
To illuminate your specimen, remove both eyepieces (3) from the supports (1). Turn the microscope over. The battery compartment (9) is located in the base. Press the clamp closure (10) and open the compartment by lifting the cover diagonally. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the flat minus poles (-) press against the spring terminal and the plus poles (+) touch the flat contact sheets. Close the compartment and turn the microscope upright again. Replace the eyepieces. Use the on/off switch (8) on the base to turn the illumination (4) on or off.
Cleaning
- Before cleaning, disconnect the device from the power supply (unplug or remove batteries).
