Rapala® R12® HD Lithium-Ion Fillet Knife Quick Start

Components

The Rapala R12 HD Lithium-Ion Fillet Knife kit includes the following components:

• (A) R12 Lithium Charging Base (2amps)
• (B) R12 HD Lithium Fillet Knife Housing
• (C) R12 Lithium Battery 2Ah (2 Included)
• (D) Coated Fillet Knife Blades 6" & 7-1/2"
• (E) Fillet Knife Storage Case

Refer to the diagram for component identification.

Getting Started

1. Plug the charging base into a 110 VAC power source.
2. Place a battery on the charging base and charge until full. (See Fig. 1)
3. Select a knife blade from the storage case. Insert the blade into the knife housing by gripping the blade guards with the serration side down. Push the blade into the blade chuck until you hear or feel a click, indicating it is securely locked. (See Fig. 2)
4. Once the battery is fully charged, remove it from the charging base. Insert the battery into the back of the fillet knife housing until you hear or feel a click, indicating it is locked in. (See Fig. 2)
5. The R12® Lithium logo should be on the top side of the knife housing. Slide the power button lock to the unlock position (Ġ). (See Fig. 3) Your R12 HD Lithium Electric Fillet Knife is now ready for use.

Knife Operation Light

Your R12 HD Lithium-Ion Electric Fillet Knife features a built-in operation light that illuminates every time the trigger is engaged. (See Fig. 4)

Battery Fuel Gauge

The R12 HD Lithium-Ion Electric Fillet Knife also has a built-in battery fuel gauge that activates each time the trigger is engaged. This gauge displays the remaining charge in the battery. (See Fig. 5)

To Operate Power Button - ON AND OFF

1. Ensure the fillet knife housing is held vertically with the power button on top, secured firmly in your hand.
2. Slide the "Power Button Lock/Unlock" to the unlock (Ġ) position.
3. Apply downward pressure to the positive-force power button to engage the fillet knife blade. Note: The knife blade will only engage when downward pressure is applied to the positive-force power button.

The diagram shows the unlock position (Ġ) and indicates that downward pressure on the power button engages the blade.
