Tips: To start moving, place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator once the scooter reaches a coasting speed of 3 mph. Alternatively, connect to the "MiniRobot" APP for zero-start functionality.
3. Charging
- The scooter is fully charged when the charger's LED light turns green from red.
- The scooter has a charging protection feature that automatically stops charging when full.
- Avoid charging for more than 24 hours continuously.
- Ensure the charging port is dry before connecting the charger.
- Keep the charging port closed when not in use.
4. First Ride
Download the "MiniRobot" app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) for enhanced features and information.
Getting Started: Place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator once the scooter reaches a coasting speed of 3 mph. You can also use the "MiniRobot" APP for zero-start.
5. Riding Basics
- Turn on the power and check the electricity indicator.
- Stand on the deck with one foot and propel yourself with the other.
- Once the scooter coasts, place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator.
- Release the accelerator to engage the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) for gentle braking. Squeeze the brake lever for a sudden stop.
- Lean your body in the direction you wish to turn and gently steer the handlebar.
Safety First: Always wear helmets and knee pads to protect against falls and injuries.
6. Riding Notice
The iScooter i9MAX is a leisure device, but it is considered a vehicle in public areas and is subject to the same risks. Adhere to manual instructions, traffic laws, and regulations.
- Respect pedestrians. Ring your bell to alert them and pass on their left. Ride at a low speed when passing pedestrians.
- Follow all safety instructions. iScooter is not liable for issues arising from misuse.
- Check the scooter before each use. Stop riding if you notice loose parts, low battery, excessive wear, strange sounds, or malfunctions.
- WARNING: Risk of Fire - No User Serviceable Parts.
7. Folding and Carrying
To fold the scooter:
- Ensure the scooter is turned off.
- Unlock the folding mechanism.
- Bend the handlebar stem to hook the buckle onto the rear fender.
To unfold the scooter:
- Press the bell trigger to release the buckle.
- Erect the handlebar and lock the folding structure.
8. Disc Brake Adjustment
Adjusting Sensitivity: Use the Allen wrench to loosen the screw on the rocker. Rotate the disc brake rocker down slightly to increase sensitivity, or up slightly to decrease it. Reinstall the screw to tighten.
Notice: Disc brake squeaking during initial use is normal and does not affect performance.
Removing Brake Noise:
- Turn off the scooter and place it on a desk for easier access.
- Loosen the two screws on the brake pump (not the rocker screw).
- Adjust the brake pump position so the disc brake is centered between the two brake pads.
- Ensure the brake disc and pads do not touch.
- Hold the brake pump in place and retighten the screws.
9. Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the scooter body with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other volatile solvents for cleaning.
- Avoid high-pressure water sprays. Ensure the scooter is off, the charger is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed during cleaning to prevent electric shock.
- Store the scooter indoors in a dry and cool place when not in use.
- Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure, as sunlight, heat, and cold can reduce battery lifespan.
Battery Maintenance
- Use only original battery packs.
- Do not touch battery contacts, dismantle, or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to prevent short circuits.
- Use the original power adapter.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to protect the environment.
- Fully charge the battery after each use to prolong its lifespan.
Storage and Disposal
- Store the scooter in a cool, dry place (14°F to 104°F). Avoid extreme humidity, which can cause condensation and damage the battery.
- Do not use at elevations above 2000m. Protect from UV rays, rain, and elements.
- Avoid fully exhausting the battery before recharging. Charge when the battery is low.
- Charge the scooter every two months to maintain battery health.
