3 Installation

3-1. Power, Signal, and Ground Connections

Connect the power, signal, and ground wires to the specified terminal blocks. Ensure round crimp terminals are used and tightened securely.

Connecting the Power Supply Wire and Ground Wire
  1. Remove 3 cover fixing screws and open the cover.
  2. Insert cross notches in the rubber bushing to pass the power supply cable.
  3. Pass the power supply cable through the rubber bushing and clamp, connecting the power supply wire and ground wire to the specified terminal block.
  4. Close the cover and secure with the 3 cover fixing screws.
Connecting the Signal Wires

Connect the TU2C-LINK / TCC-LINK signal wire (Uh / U3U4) to the terminal block. Secure the cable with a clamp and fasten screws to a torque of 1.0 N•m.

Note on TU2C-LINK / TCC-LINK: This connection does not have polarity. Connect the shield of the central control wiring to the ground on the air conditioner side. Leave the shield open (and insulate it); do not connect it to the terminal block.

About Stripping Length

Specific wire stripping lengths are provided for power supply wires (1.18" / 30mm), central control wiring (0.59" / 15mm), and digital I/O cables.

Termination Resistance Setting

For TCC-LINK, leave one termination resistance line ON at the outdoor unit interface board and turn others OFF. For TU2C-LINK, set the termination resistance farthest away on the wiring between this central controller and other units to ON.

Shield Grounding Process

For single-unit systems, open the shielded wire of the central control wiring and perform insulation processing. For multi-unit systems, connect the shield to the closed end and open the shield at the final end for insulation processing. Perform shield grounding on the air conditioner side.

REQUIREMENT

3-2. How to Install

CAUTION: Do not run communication lines or input/output wiring next to power supply wiring or house them in the same metal pipe, as this may cause failure. Install the controller away from noise sources.

Installing to Control Board (Control Panel) or Wall

The thickness of the board or wall must be between 0.06" and 0.39" (1.6 mm to 10 mm).

  1. Prepare installation holes as per the diagram (Panel cut dimensions diagram).
  2. Remove one panel fixing screw and open the panel.
  3. Attach the lower case using the four included fixing screws.
  4. Close the panel and secure it with one panel fixing screw.

Panel Cut Dimensions Diagram: A square hole of approximately 3.74" (95 mm) width and 3.30" (84 mm) height is required, with four screw holes located at the corners.

4 Central Remote Controller Test Run

Follow the procedure below to monitor and operate air conditioners.

1. Turn on all connected equipment

Ensure indoor units, outdoor units, and general purpose equipment control interfaces are powered on.

2. Turn on the power of the Central Remote Controller

NOTE: If Central control address settings are configured before initial communication is complete, addresses may not be set for some units. For TCC-LINK models, connect U3 and U4 terminals in the outdoor unit to relay connectors.

3. Register the indoor units

Access the "Servicing Menu" via the "All" screen (press [Menu] and [Control] simultaneously for 4 seconds). Perform "Obtain Address" under "Address Settings". After checking for errors, proceed with address registration.

4. Assign indoor units to zones 1 to 10

Use "Zone Settings" to assign indoor units to zones. Verify the displayed number of units on the "All" screen matches the registered zone count.

5. Operation confirmation

Check if indoor units can be operated from the Central Remote Controller and if local remote controller operations are reflected.

6. Preparation for delivery

If an inspection code occurs, perform "Delete check history". Refer to the Owner's Manual and Installation Manual for detailed settings.

5 "Servicing Menu" Settings

How to Display the "Servicing Menu" Screen

  1. Display the "All" screen.
  2. Press the [Menu] and [Control] buttons simultaneously for over 4 seconds to access the "Servicing Menu".
  3. Use the navigation buttons ([^], [v]) to select an item and press [Confirm] to enter.

Address Display: Shows registered indoor unit addresses.

Address Auto-setting: Automatically sets Central control addresses from 1 upwards, overwriting existing settings.

To Change the Central control address

Follow the steps to select an indoor unit and assign a new Central control address. This process involves selecting the unit, choosing a new address from a list, confirming, and registering the changes.

Address Display

Displays the registered indoor units and their addresses.

Address Auto-setting

Automatically assigns addresses sequentially. IMPORTANT: This overwrites all current Central control addresses.

Change the Zone to which the Indoor Unit Belongs (Zone Settings)

Select "Zone Settings" from the "Servicing Menu". Choose "Central control Address" to view the address list. Select an address, then select a zone number (1-10) to assign the unit to that zone. Up to 64 units can be set per zone.

To Change the Group Zone of Multiple Indoor Units

Select "Central control Address" in "Zone Settings". Select the first address, then select the last address to group units. Assign a zone number to the selected group.

Set the indoor unit as being out of the scope of management

On the "Zone List" screen, select "Del" for the desired unit and confirm to remove it from zone management. This will reset the controlled/monitored unit count.

Changing the Display Method (Display settings)
