Casio SA-75 User's Guide
Safety Precautions
Before using the keyboard, please read the separate "Safety Precautions" document. This guide also includes important information regarding FCC rules for use in the USA and important information for parents.
FCC Guidelines
This equipment complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules for Class B digital devices. It is designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to take measures such as reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, or consulting a dealer or technician. Modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Important Information for Parents
- Before using the optional AD-1 Adaptor, check it and the power cord for damage. Never let children use a damaged AC adaptor.
- Never attempt to recharge batteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Never mix batteries of different types or old and new batteries.
- Use only recommended batteries or equivalent.
- Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries.
- Remove batteries as soon as they show signs of depletion.
- Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
- The product is not intended for children under 3 years.
- Use only the CASIO AD-1 adaptor.
- The AC adaptor is not a toy.
- Disconnect the AC adaptor before cleaning.
Care of Your Keyboard
- Avoid heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. Do not place near air conditioners or in extremely hot places.
- Do not use near a TV or radio, as this can cause interference. Move the instrument away if interference occurs.
- Do not use lacquer, thinner, or similar chemicals for cleaning.
- Clean the keyboard with a soft cloth dampened in a weak solution of water and a neutral detergent, squeezed until almost dry.
- Avoid areas subjected to temperature extremes, as this can dim the LCD screen. The display should correct itself at normal temperatures.
- Lines on the case are a result of the molding process and are not cracks.
Power Supply
The keyboard supports two-way power supply: batteries or household AC power. Always turn off the power when not in use.
Battery Power
- Turn off power before loading batteries.
- To replace batteries: Remove the battery compartment cover, load 5 AA-size batteries ensuring correct polarity (+/-), and replace the cover. Loading batteries while power is on may cause malfunction; turn off and on again if this occurs.
- Battery life is approximately six hours with R6P (SUM-3) manganese batteries under normal conditions. High volume or cold temperatures can shorten battery life.
AC Power
Use only the specified AC adaptor model: AD-1. The AC adaptor may become warm during use, which is normal.
WARNING: Take care to avoid damage to the power cord. A damaged cord creates fire and electrical shock hazards. Use only the specified AC adaptor model to avoid fire and electrical shock.
CAUTION: Always unplug the AC adaptor if the keyboard will not be used for a long time. Turn off power and unplug the AC adaptor when not in use.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the keyboard power is off before connecting or disconnecting the AC adaptor.
