GAOMON PD1161 Pen Display Installation
Instructions for installing the GAOMON PD1161 Pen Display on Windows and macOS.
For Windows Users
- Ensure all cables are connected correctly.
- Close all art applications and anti-virus programs before proceeding. It is acceptable to run anti-virus programs if the issue is confirmed and fixed.
- Uninstall any previous GAOMON drivers. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs and Features. Also, ensure no other tablet drivers from different brands are installed, as this is very important.
- Download the latest driver from the official GAOMON website: https://gaomon.net/.

- Locate the downloaded driver file (typically a .zip or .exe). Right-click the driver setup icon (with a .exe extension) and select "Run as administrator ⚙️" from the dropdown menu.

Important Tip: Do not change the default installation path. The installer defaults to the C: drive.

For Mac Users
- Download the driver from the official GAOMON website: https://gaomon.net/.

- Locate the downloaded installation package. Drag the 'GaomonTablet' icon ✍️ onto the 'Applications' folder ?. Hold it there briefly until it is copied into the 'Applications' folder. Then, double-click 'GaomonTablet' in the Applications folder to run the driver.

Note on macOS Versions: For macOS versions 10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina), and Big Sur, it is necessary to add the driver to the system's 'whitelist' to ensure normal operation. If your macOS version is older than 10.14, you may be able to skip the following steps.
- After installation, press one of the tablet's express keys. A prompt for 'Accessibility Access' will appear. Click 'Open System Preferences' to navigate to the 'Security & Privacy' settings. Crucially, do not click "Deny ❌"!

- In the 'Security & Privacy' settings, click the lock icon ? in the bottom-left corner and enter your administrator password to make changes.

- Navigate to the 'Privacy' tab, then select 'Accessibility' from the left-hand sidebar. Find 'TabletDriverAgent' in the list of applications. Tick the checkbox next to 'TabletDriverAgent' to grant it accessibility permissions. If 'TabletDriverAgent' is not listed, click the '+' button ➕ to add it from your Applications folder.

- Go to your 'Applications' folder ? and locate 'GaomonTablet' ✍️. Click 'Open' to launch it.

- In the 'Security & Privacy' settings again, ensure 'GaomonTablet' is ticked (it might be circled in red in the original visual). Click the lock icon ? again to prevent further changes. This step ensures the tablet functions correctly.
