1. Possible Uses and Important Information
For initial setup, you will need a Bluetooth®-enabled smartphone (Bluetooth 4.0 LE or higher) with a supported iOS or Android software version, and the free ABUS HomeTec Pro app. The keypad can be operated via smartphone or the keypad itself, serving as an alternative to smartphone use. The keypad is dust and splash-proof (IP54) and highly UV-resistant.

2. Scope of Delivery
The package includes the HomeTec Pro keypad and necessary mounting hardware.
3. Tools Required
Tools typically required for installation may include a drill, screwdriver (e.g., SW 2.5), and possibly silicone adhesive.
4. Installation Instructions
4.1 Mounting Location: Select a suitable location outside your home, near the door, accessible to users of all heights. Test the radio connection to the actuator before mounting.
4.2 Wall Mounting: Installation should be professional and adapted to external wall characteristics. The keypad can be affixed with screws and/or silicone adhesive.
4.3-4.6 Installation Steps: Follow the visual step-by-step instructions for mounting the keypad, including attaching the backplate, inserting batteries, and connecting the keypad.
4.7 Keycard: Keep the ABUS Keycard in a safe place for software updates, smartphone loss, and warranty claims.
5. HomeTec Pro App
Download the ABUS HomeTec Pro app and enable Bluetooth® on your smartphone. Start the app and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure correct keycard assignment and scanning. To program the keypad, use the "Add HomeTec Pro / Component" button.
6. Battery Replacement
6.1 Battery Replacement: Replace all batteries simultaneously. Remove the old batteries and insert four new LR6 1.5V alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity.
6.2 Cleaning: Do not use cleaning agents or microfibre cloths. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
