Installation Guide

This document outlines the steps for installing and setting up the Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro Max.

Package Contents

The package includes the following items:

Step 1: Attach Rack Mount Brackets

Attach the rack-mount brackets (b) to the sides of the Dream Machine Pro Max unit using the provided M4 screws (c) and M4 washers (f).

Step 2: Install in Rack

Slide the Dream Machine Pro Max, with attached brackets, into a standard 19-inch server rack. Secure the unit to the rack using the 10#-32 rack-mount screws (d).

Step 3: Install Hard Drives

The Dream Machine Pro Max supports the installation of 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch hard drives into its drive bays.

For 3.5-inch drives: Attach the drive to a drive bracket using two screws. The required screws are specified as 6#-32 M3 type.

For 2.5-inch drives: Attach the drive to a drive bracket using four screws. The required screws are specified as 6#-32 M3 type.

Once the drive is secured to its bracket, insert the assembly into the designated drive bay within the Dream Machine Pro Max. The diagrams show a release mechanism for drive bays.

Step 4: Connect Power

Connect the power cord (h) to the device and plug it into a power outlet. ⚡

Step 5: Network Connections and Setup

Connect the device to your network. The device supports 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps internet connections. ?

Download the UniFi mobile application from the App Store or Google Play to manage your device. Initial setup can be performed via Bluetooth using the UniFi application.

Status Indicators

Observe the status indicators (A, B) for system and network status.
