Wiring
1. Product Dimension
The external dimensions of the unit are approximately 255mm (top width), 282mm (height), and 376mm (bottom width). The side profile shows a depth of approximately 75mm and a height of 155mm. The front fascia or mounting bracket has dimensions of approximately 197mm (width) and 110mm (height). The screen size is 10.1 inches.
2. Back interface diagram
The back of the unit features various ports including RCA connectors for audio and video input/output, USB ports, GPS antenna input, rear camera input, and main wiring harnesses.
3. Harness
The wiring harness includes multiple connectors for power, speakers, CANbus, steering wheel controls (KEY1, KEY2), ACC, Battery (+12V, GND), REVERSE, BRAKE CTL, and AUTO ANT. A CANbus port is also present for vehicle communication.
4. Installation Steps
Finding Car Wires:
- Power Cord: Turn the car key to ACC. Use a multimeter (set to 20V) to test wires. Connect the black probe to the car's ground (e.g., cigar lighter casing) and the red probe to each wire. Typically, two 12V wires are positive. To distinguish ACC and memory lines, remove the car key after identifying the positive wires; the memory line remains powered.
- Ground Wire (Negative Pole): Use a multimeter (set to beep/continuity mode). Connect the black probe to the car's ground. Test wires (excluding power lines) with the red probe. The energized wire is the ground wire. Some cars have two ground wires.
- Horn Line: Use a multimeter (set to beep/continuity mode). Connect the black probe to any wire except power and ground. Test remaining wires with the red probe. The energized wire is the horn wire. Repeat for other horn lines if applicable.
Testing the Unit:
Before installation, test the unit with a battery or power supply. Connect the red and yellow wires together to the positive pole, and the black wire to the negative pole. Press the power switch. To test the horn function, connect a wire to the horn wire (note: horn wires may be the same color; one is positive, the other negative). The white wire is typically positive, and the white wire with a black stripe is negative for the horn.
Connecting Bluetooth:
Turn on the unit and enable Bluetooth on your phone. Search for the unit's name and connect. For music playback, switch to Bluetooth mode and select songs on your phone. You can also make calls via Bluetooth.
Fixing the Unit:
Installation methods vary by car. Consult the original unit's fixing method. If screws were used with a steel angle, adapt the angle to fit the new unit. If an iron frame was used, fix the frame first. If the size is slightly off, use electrician tape to adjust the fit.
Installing the Navigation Antenna:
Tighten the antenna screws to the unit. Mount the antenna module in a location with sunlight or on the windshield for optimal GPS signal reception.
Default Passwords:
- Factory Mode Password: 8888 (may vary by product).
- Bluetooth Pin Code: 0000/1234.
5. Schematic diagram of reversing camera wiring
The system includes a separate Camera Input port; do not connect to RCA cables. The camera wiring involves a red and black power cable (red to reverse light positive, black to negative) and a yellow RCA cable for video input. A trigger cable (red wire B) connects to the car's rear light positive. When the car is in reverse gear, the device automatically displays the rear view.
Wiring Method (Rear Camera):
Preparation: Tape, screwdriver, wire cutters, plastic prying tool, traction wire.
- Insert the camera wire harness into the rear license plate light hole and snap it in.
- Remove trunk lining, pull out the waterproof rubber ring, use a tow line to route the camera cable, insert the harness and data connector, and reinstall the rubber ring.
- Remove trunk's left side decorative lining, plug the data power extension cable with the camera harness, and route it along the original car harness.
- Peel off the rear seat's left side sealing strip, route the cable into the cockpit, and pull out the data power plug and extension cords.
- Secure the trunk, insert the extension cord into the plastic panel gap along the door's rubber strip, leading to the cockpit.
- Remove the storage box under the headlights, pass through the OBD interface, and connect the wiring interface to the navigator.
Note: Connect the rear view wire regardless of whether a rear camera is used, as it affects WiFi and Bluetooth signals.
6. Fixed machine
- Fix the bracket on the left and right sides of the machine with screws, adjusting its position as needed.
- Screw the machine into the central console's mounting position.
