GETTING STARTED
Setting up the connections
Turn on the Atomos unit and connect the USB to Serial LANC cable into the LANC/REMOTE port. Plug the USB end into a Windows PC or Mac.
Connection Diagram Description:
The diagram shows the rear ports of two Atomos devices, Ninja V and Shogun 7. The Ninja V has ports labeled 'MIC/LINE' and 'REMOTE'. The Shogun 7 has ports labeled 'REMOTE', 'HDMI IN', and 'USB OUT'. The text indicates to locate the remote port (labeled 'REMOTE' or identified by a LANC symbol) on your specific Atomos device. The position of this port may vary across different Atomos models.
A separate diagram illustrates the connection flow: the Atomos device connects via LANC to a computer, and the computer connects via USB. This implies the LANC port on the Atomos device is used for communication, and the USB connection is to the computer.
CONNECTING THE X-RITE I1 DISPLAY PRO:
- Plug the USB cable from the i1 into a Windows PC or Mac before starting the calibration software.
- Rotate the protective cover of the X-Rite i1 Display Pro to reveal the glass sensor.
- Place the X-Rite i1Display Pro on the LCD display of the Atomos device.
- Ensure the round foam pad around the i1's sensor sits flat on the LCD to prevent external light from entering the sensor.
NOTE: The X-Rite i1Display Pro must remain stationary while the calibration process is occurring.
Placement Diagram Description:
The diagram shows a top-down view of the X-Rite i1 Display Pro being placed onto the screen of an Atomos monitor. An arrow indicates the placement, and a second diagram shows a computer connected via USB, implying the calibrator is connected to the computer.
