IKEA LILLFJÄLLET Bed Assembly Instructions
This document provides instructions for assembling the IKEA LILLFJÄLLET bed.
Before You Begin
Ensure you have all parts and tools before starting assembly. Follow the steps carefully to ensure proper assembly.
Step 1: Place the FÖLUNGEN (slatted bed base) onto the bed frame. Ensure it is correctly oriented as indicated by the arrows.
Step 2: Take the headboard cover and align it with the top of the bed frame. Use the zipper to secure the cover to the frame.
Step 3: With assistance, drape the headboard cover over the headboard section of the bed frame. Ensure it is smooth and evenly positioned.
Step 4: Secure the headboard cover by fastening the internal straps or ties. Refer to the close-up image for detail on how to attach these.
Step 5: Attach any additional securing mechanisms for the headboard cover, such as Velcro straps or elastic bands, to the underside of the bed frame.
Step 6: Ensure the headboard cover is taut and properly fitted. Adjust as needed.
Step 7: Place the mattress onto the bed frame. Align it correctly with the frame and headboard.
Step 8: Carefully pull the mattress cover or sheet over the mattress, tucking it in securely around the edges and under the frame.
Step 9: Secure the mattress cover or sheet by tucking it under the mattress and frame, ensuring a snug fit. Use the provided straps or elastic bands if available.
Step 10: If your bed has separate headboard cushions, place them onto the headboard. Ensure they are positioned correctly.
Step 11: Secure the headboard cushions to the headboard structure using the provided fasteners or straps.
Step 12: Place the second mattress or topper onto the bed frame, on top of the first mattress.
Step 13: Carefully fit the mattress protector or fitted sheet over both mattresses. Ensure it is pulled taut and tucked in securely around all edges.
