MALM Headboard/Bed Shelf Assembly Instructions
This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA MALM headboard and bed shelf unit.

Step 1
Attach 8x cam lock screws (118331) to the two base panels.

Step 2
Attach 4x rollers (111402) to the bottom of two side panels using screws (109041).

Step 3
Insert 2x wooden dowels (101350) into the base panels. Attach one side panel to the base.

Step 4
Repeat Step 3 for the other side panel.

Step 5
Insert 4x cam locks (102509) into the side panels and tighten them onto the cam lock screws.

Step 6
Attach 3x shelf supports (102372) to the base panels.

Step 7
Insert 2x wooden dowels (101350) into the side panels. Attach a back panel.

Insert 3x cam locks (102509) into the back panel and tighten.

Step 9
Insert 4x wooden dowels (101350) into the top of the side panels. Attach the top panel.

Insert 4x cam locks (102509) into the top panel and tighten.

Attach 4x metal brackets (101512) to the back of the unit.

Attach 12x cam lock screws (118331) to the drawer base panels.

Insert 8x wooden dowels (101350) into the drawer side panels. Attach drawer front/back panels.

Insert 9x cam locks (102509) into the drawer panels and tighten.

Attach 2x brackets (103717) to the drawer sides using screws (100347).

Insert 3x cam locks (102509) into the drawer bottom panel and tighten.

Insert 8x screws (101532) into the drawer runners on the main unit.

Slide the assembled drawers into the unit.

Insert 2x screws (101560) into the top of the unit. Insert 4x screws (101577) into the bottom of the unit.

Attach 3x cam lock screws (118331) to a panel.

Insert 2x screws (109575) and 2x spacers (121528) into a panel.

Insert 2x wooden dowels (101350) into a panel. Attach a panel.

Attach 5x cam lock screws (118331) to a panel.

Insert 5x wooden dowels (101350) into panels. Assemble drawer sides.

Insert 5x cam locks (102509) into a panel and tighten.

Attach 3x shelf supports (102372) to the drawer assembly.

Slide the assembled drawer units into the headboard structure.
