Schneider Electric ABE7 Series Installation and Safety Guide
This document provides essential information for the installation and safe operation of Schneider Electric ABE7 series modules.
Important Safety Warnings
⚠️ DANGER / DANGER / WARNUNG / PELIGRO / PERICOLO / PERIGO
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE
Disconnect all power before servicing equipment. Electric shock will result in death or serious injury.
(This warning is also provided in French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.)
Internal Fuse Safety Notice
WARNING: Internal fuses may not always deactivate outputs. When multiple ABE7 modules are connected to a single PLC output source, module outputs can remain active even after an internal fuse is removed or blown. To ensure safety during maintenance or when deactivating module outputs, it is critical to halt the PLC, disconnect all power supplies, and disconnect the HE10 connector. Failure to adhere to these instructions can lead to severe injury or equipment damage.

- Clearance requirement: > 7.5 mm (0.30 in.)
Diagram Description: Visuals show modules being inserted into a base unit, with a specific focus on the connection points and the fuse holder.
Fuse Replacement Procedure
To replace a fuse:
- Ensure the equipment is powered off and disconnected.
- Locate the fuse holder.
- Carefully remove the old fuse.
- Insert the new fuse (e.g., 1 A ABE7FU100).
- Ensure the fuse clicks securely into place.
Diagram Description: Illustrations depict the process of pulling out an old fuse and inserting a new one using a fuse puller or by hand, with a click sound indicated.
Wiring and Terminal Connections
HE10 16-Channel Connector: This connector provides 16 input/output channels. Terminals are typically arranged for signal connections, referenced to +24VDC and 0VDC power supplies.
Power Supply: A typical power supply requirement is 19-30 V DC, drawing approximately 7 mA.
Wire Gauge and Torque:
Wire Size (mm²) | Wire Size (AWG) | Torque (Nm) | Torque (lb-in) |
