Quick Start Guide
If you are a Windows user, please find the appropriate keycaps in the box, then follow the instructions below to find and replace the following keycaps.
1. Connect 2.4GHz Receiver
Connect the 2.4GHz receiver to the device USB port.
Switch toggle to 2.4GHz mode.
Note: For the best wireless experience, Keychron recommends using the extension adapter for the receiver and placing it on your desk close to your keyboard for low latency and fewer signal interferences.
Components: 2.4 GHz Receiver, Extension Adapter for Receiver

Press and hold Fn + 1 (for 4 seconds) to pair with the device named 'Keychron K2 HE'.

6. Adjust The Backlight Brightness
Press Fn + Tab to turn the backlight on/off.

7. The Keychron Launcher App
Visit launcher.keychron.com to access the Keychron online launcher app. This app allows users to remap keys, adjust key actuation points, assign multiple commands to a single key, enter game controller mode, and more.
If the app does not recognize your keyboard, please contact Keychron support for instructions.
Note: The online launcher app currently runs best on the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, and Opera browsers.
8. The Layers
The keyboard features four layers of key settings. Layers 0 and 1 are for the Mac system, while Layers 2 and 3 are for the Windows system.
If the system toggle is set to 'Mac', Layer 0 is activated.
If the system toggle is set to 'Windows', Layer 2 is activated. When using Windows mode, make adjustments to Layer 2, not the top layer (Layer 0), to avoid common mistakes.
9. Factory Reset & Firmware Update
Factory Reset:
- Power on the keyboard.
- Press and hold Fn + J + Z (for 4 seconds). The keyboard backlight will flash red for 3 seconds, indicating a successful reset.
Firmware Update:

- Ensure the keyboard is in Cable or Wired mode and connect the power cable.
- Navigate to the 'Firmware Update' tab on the left side of the Launcher and connect your keyboard.

For a step-by-step guide, search for "firmware" on the Keychron website.
10. Warranty
The keyboard is highly customizable and easy to rebuild. If any keyboard component fails during the warranty period, Keychron will replace only the defective parts, not the entire keyboard.
For issues or concerns, contact Keychron support at support@keychron.com.
