* "Regeneration" refers to the conversion of energy created by the movement of the vehicle into electrical energy.
The Hybrid System Indicator does not operate in the following situations:

- The shift lever is in a range other than D or S.
Outside temperature display
The correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or the display may take longer than normal to change, in the following situations:
- When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 20 km/h [12 mph]).
- When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (e.g., at the entrance/exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.).
If "--" or "E" is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer.
The display shows the outside temperature within the range of -40°C (-40°F) to 60°C (140°F).
When the outside temperature is approximately 3°C (37°F) or lower, the indicator [Temperature Warning Icon] will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.
