Intended Application

The safety interlock switch complies with the requirements of the relevant standards and meets the requirements for Cat. 1 / PL c acc. to EN ISO 13849-1 and with valid fault exclusion for the single-channel mechanical parts and dual channel application in conjunction with a suitable logic unit the requirements for Cat. 3 / PL d. Accordingly it can be used in applications up to these safety levels. The solenoid interlock is classified acc. to EN ISO 14119 as type 2 interlocking devices.

Safety Function Description

The safety function guard locking (to Cat. 4, PL e) is valid for AZM150 devices with power to unlock guard locking. The safety level of the unlock function is determined exclusively by the external safety power shutdown.

Should the risk analysis through the user show, that the use of an interlock with “Power to Unlock" cannot be used, then in this case, it is allowed that an interlock with "Power to Lock" can be used, when additional safety measures have been taken to ensure the same level of safety.

This Release List has been agreed with between manufacturer and test institute.
