S&P RMB and RMT Series Auto-Transformer Speed Controllers

Introduction

Thank you for choosing S&P products. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of the S&P RMB and RMT series auto-transformer speed controllers. Please read these instructions carefully before use to prevent damage and hazardous situations. Any use of this equipment other than as indicated in this manual may cause fire, electrical danger, or injury, and will void the warranty.

Product Overview

The S&P RMB and RMT series are electromagnetic auto-transformer speed controllers designed to regulate the speed of ventilation fans. The controllers offer five speed positions and an OFF setting, controlled by a manual switch (C).

RMT Series

The RMT series consists of 5 three-phase auto-transformer speed controllers, operating at 400V~50/60Hz. The manual switch C (Fig. 1) allows selection of five stepped speeds and OFF.

RMB Series

The RMB series consists of 5 single-phase auto-transformer speed controllers, operating at 230V~50/60Hz. The manual switch C (Fig. 2) allows selection of five stepped speeds and OFF.

Installation

IMPORTANT: Before installing and wiring the unit, ensure that the main supply is disconnected.

• Working temperature: 0-40°C.
• Minimum working voltage: 90 Vac.

Wiring

To access the connection block, place the switch C in the '0' position and open the front cover T.

RMT Series Wiring (Fig. 3)

Connect the unit according to the diagram in Fig. 3. If the fan rotates in the wrong direction, reverse the connection of any two wires on the motor terminals.

RMB Series Wiring (Fig. 4)

Connect the unit according to the diagram in Fig. 4. If the fan rotates in the wrong direction, reverse the connection of any two wires on the motor terminals.

Technical Assistance

Putting Out of Service and Recycling

EEC legislation and our commitment to future generations require the recycling of materials. Please deposit all packaging materials in the appropriate recycling bins. If your device is also labeled with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol ♻️, please take the replaced appliance to the nearest Waste Management Plant at the end of its service life.
