HIFONICS TITAN BASSREFLEX SUBWOOFER SYSTEMS
TS250R / TS300R
IMPORTANT NOTES
Choose a suitable location for your sound system, ensuring it does not obstruct the driver's field of vision or compromise the safety of the occupants. This applies particularly to airbag zones and safety belts. The permanent temperature of the installation location should not fall below 5°C or exceed 50°C. Protect the device from moisture and humidity.
Ensure that your subwoofer enclosure is securely mounted to prevent it from becoming loose during driving and potentially causing injury in the passenger cabin. Mounting the enclosure in the trunk area with suitable belts or other secure mounting solutions is recommended.
During installation, be careful not to damage any original vehicle components such as airbags, wires, or the fuel tank by drilling or other operations.
Do not screw or mount other devices, like amplifiers or caps, onto the subwoofer enclosure, as this could damage the electrical system.
For your personal safety and to maintain roadworthiness, select an appropriate sound level for the subwoofer enclosure. Ensure the driver can still perceive traffic noises and acoustic warning signals.
Modern car audio sound systems can produce sound pressure levels exceeding 100 dB. Prolonged exposure to such high sound levels may cause permanent damage to your hearing.
Ensure the correct polarity of all connections. Incorrectly installed or connected devices can permanently damage your vehicle and the device itself.
Always consult the operation guide or wiring manual of your amplifier for proper connection procedures.
Never connect the speaker terminals to the 12-volt power supply, as this can damage the speakers.
POWER RATING
The HIFONICS TITAN TS subwoofer enclosures are engineered for high bass output. However, improper amplifier power (too low or too high) can result in unsatisfactory sound quality and potentially damage the loudspeakers.
It is recommended to use an amplifier with a power output that is approximately 15-20% higher than the woofer's maximum RMS power rating. Operate the amplifier at a level below its maximum output to ensure low distortion and good sound characteristics. A weaker amplifier pushed to its maximum level will produce worse sound due to higher distortion.
Avoid turning up your amplifier's output volume to the maximum level or operating it in the clipping range. If the sound becomes distorted or unclean, reduce the volume until the distortions disappear.
Recommended Power Ratings:
- TS250R: One Amplifier with approximately 240 to 360 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms.
- TS300R: One Amplifier with approximately 300 to 500 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms.
The HIFONICS TITAN TS subwoofer enclosures do not have an integrated limiter or clipper. Over-amplified bass peaks can lead to a burn-out of the woofer's voice coil. Damage to the voice coil caused by clipping or over-amplification is not covered under the standard warranty.
