HIFONICS TITAN BASSREFLEX SUBWOOFER SYSTEMS
TS250R / TS300R
Important Notes
Choose a suitable location for your sound system, ensuring it does not obstruct the driver's field of vision or compromise the security of the occupants. This is particularly important for airbag zones and safety belts. The permanent temperature of the installation location should be between 5°C and 50°C. Protect the device from moisture and humidity.
Ensure that your subwoofer enclosure is securely mounted and will not become loose during driving, which could cause injury in the passenger cabin. Mounting the enclosure with suitable belts or other solutions in the trunk area is recommended.
When installing, be careful not to damage any original vehicle components such as airbags, wires, or the gas tank by drilling or other operations.
Do not screw or mount other devices, like amplifiers or capacitors, onto the subwoofer enclosure, as this could damage the electrical system.
For your own safety and the safety of others, set the sound level appropriately so that the driver's concentration and the vehicle's roadworthiness are not affected. It should still be possible to hear traffic noises and warning signals.
Modern car audio systems can produce high acoustic pressure exceeding 100 dB. Be aware that prolonged exposure to high sound levels can permanently damage your hearing.
Ensure correct polarity for all connections. Incorrectly installed or connected devices can permanently damage both the vehicle and the device.
Always consult the operation guide or wiring manual of your amplifier for proper connection procedures.
Never connect speaker terminals to the 12 Volt power supply, as this can damage the speakers.
CAUTION: Overamplified bass peaks can lead to the burnout of the woofer's voice coil. Burnout caused by clipping or overamplifying is not covered by the standard warranty.
Power Rating
The HIFONICS TITAN TS subwoofer enclosures are designed for high bass levels. However, an amplifier with too low or too high power can result in unsatisfying sound characteristics and potentially damage the loudspeakers.
It is recommended to use a more powerful amplifier (approximately 15-20% more RMS Watts than the woofer's maximum RMS power rating). Use the amplifier at a moderate output level for good sound characteristics and low distortion. A weaker amplifier used at maximum level will result in worse sound due to higher distortion.
Never turn up the amplifier's output volume to the maximum level or operate it in the clipping range. If the sound is distorted, reduce the level until the distortion disappears.
Recommended Power Ratings:
- TS250R: 240 to 360 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms
- TS300R: 300 to 500 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms
Note the minimum impedance of the amplifier. If in doubt, contact your dealer.
Dimensions:
- TS250R: 40 x 32 x 36/28 cm
