1. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  2. Remove loose objects from the area to be cleaned. Tidy up cords and small items on the floor that the device may become entangled in. Tuck carpet tassels under the carpet base and pick up the edges of curtains and tablecloths.
  3. If there is a height difference in the cleaning area, such as a step or staircase, you must monitor the device's operation to ensure its anti-fall sensors detect these obstacles, to prevent falls. A physical barrier may need to be installed on the edge to prevent accidental tripping.
  4. Strictly follow the instructions in this manual when using the appliance. Use only manufacturer-recommended or provided accessories.
  5. Ensure your power source voltage matches the voltage indicated on the charging station.
  6. For indoor use ONLY. Do not use the device outdoors, in commercial, or industrial premises.
  7. Do not use rechargeable batteries that cannot be recharged. Battery specifications are in the "Technical Specifications" section.
  8. Do not use the device without the dustbin and/or filters.
  9. Do not use the device in areas with open flames or flammable or combustible items.
  10. Do not use the device in environments with very high or very low temperatures (below -5 °C/23 °F or above 40 °C/104 °F).
  11. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and other body parts away from openings and moving components.
  12. Do not use the device in a room where infants are sleeping.
  13. Do not use the device on wet surfaces or surfaces where water has accumulated.
  14. Do not use the device to pick up large objects, such as stones, large pieces of paper, or any items that could clog the device.
  15. Do not use the device to pick up flammable or combustible materials, such as gasoline, printer toner, or copier toner, or in areas where such materials may be present.
  16. Do not use the device to pick up burning or smoking items, such as cigarettes, matches, hot ash, or other materials that could cause a fire.
  17. Do not insert objects into the suction port. Do not use the device if the suction port is clogged. Ensure the port is free of dust, lint, and anything that could restrict airflow.
  18. Take measures to protect the power cord from damage. Do not pull or carry the device or charging station by the power cord, do not use the power cord as a handle, do not pinch the power cord in a door, and do not pull it around sharp edges or corners. Do not allow the device to run over the power cord. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
  19. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent to avoid risk.
  20. Do not use the charging station if it is damaged.
  21. Do not use the device if its power cord or socket is damaged. Do not use the device or charging station if they are malfunctioning, have been dropped, exposed to water, or damaged in any way. To avoid risk, the manufacturer or its service agent must repair damaged components.
  22. Before performing maintenance or cleaning, turn off the device.
  23. Before performing maintenance or cleaning on the charging station, unplug it from the outlet.
  24. Before removing the battery for disposal of the device, remove the device from the charging station and turn the power switch to OFF.
  25. Before disposing of the device, remove and dispose of the battery in accordance with local regulations and ordinances.
  26. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations and ordinances.
  27. Do not incinerate the device, even if severely damaged. Batteries may explode in a fire.
  28. If the charging station is not used for a long period, unplug it from the outlet.
  29. When using the device, follow the instructions in this operating manual. ECOVACS ROBOTICS is not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from improper use of the device.
  30. The device contains batteries, which should only be replaced by qualified persons. For battery replacement or removal, contact customer service.
  31. If the device is not used for an extended period, fully charge it, turn it off for storage, and unplug the charging station from the outlet.
  32. ATTENTION: For recharging the battery, use only the supplied YJS015F-1900600G power adapter.
  33. The remote control has two AAA non-rechargeable batteries installed. To replace a battery, turn the remote control over, press on the battery compartment cover, and remove it. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, observing polarity. Replace the battery compartment cover.
  34. Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged.
  35. Do not mix batteries of different types or mix old and new batteries.
  36. Observe battery polarity in the remote control.
  37. Depleted batteries must be removed from the remote control and disposed of safely.
  38. If the remote control is not used for a long period, remove the batteries.
  39. Do not short-circuit the power terminals.
  40. To disable the Wi-Fi module on DEEBOT: Turn on the robot's power. Place the robot vacuum on the charging station, aligning the DEEBOT charging contacts with the charging station terminals. Press and hold the auto mode button on the robot for 10 seconds until DEEBOT emits 3 audible signals.
  41. To enable the Wi-Fi module on DEEBOT: Turn off the robot and then turn it back on. The Wi-Fi module is enabled upon DEEBOT restart.

3. Operation and Programming

3.1 Before Cleaning

ATTENTION: Do not use DEEBOT on wet surfaces or surfaces with accumulated water.

3.2 Preparation

  1. Connecting the Adapter: [Diagram shows power adapter being plugged into the charging dock.]
  2. Placing the Charging Dock: [Diagram shows charging dock placement with dimensions: 0.5m (1.6') clearance on sides, 1.5m (5') clearance in front.]
  3. Installing Side Brushes: [Diagram shows side brushes being attached to the robot.]
  4. Turning on Power: [Diagram shows the power switch on the robot, with ON and OFF positions indicated.]
  5. Charging DEEBOT: [Diagram shows DEEBOT on the charging dock. A 4-hour charging time is indicated with an equal sign leading to a full battery icon.] Note: After cleaning or when the battery is low, the robot automatically returns to the charging dock for charging.

3.3 Selecting Cleaning Mode

  1. Automatic Cleaning Mode: The default mode is random cleaning (optimized for carpets).
  2. To switch to programmed cleaning mode (optimized for hard floors) or between the two modes: [Diagrams show button presses on the robot and remote control, with arrows indicating mode switching. An 'x2' symbol might indicate a double press.] Note: Cleaning mode can only be changed when DEEBOT is stopped or charging. After switching modes, DEEBOT will start a new cleaning cycle. The indicator lights up when programmed mode is activated.
  3. Spot Cleaning Mode (less than 3 minutes): [Diagrams show button presses on the remote control and the robot performing a spiral cleaning pattern.]
  4. Returning to Charging Dock: [Diagrams show button presses on the remote control or robot, with an arrow indicating return to dock. A '≥3s' indicator suggests holding a button for 3 seconds.]

App Integration

All the above functions can be accessed via the app. Download the ECOVACS app to access advanced features, including edge cleaning and scheduled cleaning.

Requires iOS 9.0 or later / Android 4.0 or later.

3.4 Pause, Wake Up, Power Off

  1. Pause: [Diagrams show button presses on the robot or remote control.] Note: The robot's control panel will dim if it remains idle for several minutes. To restart DEEBOT, press the AUTO button.
  2. Wake Up: Press the AUTO button on DEEBOT to "wake up" the device.
  3. Power Off: [Diagram shows the power switch on the robot, with ON and OFF positions indicated.] Note: When DEEBOT is not in use for cleaning, it is recommended not to turn it off so it can charge.

3.5 Optional Mopping System

Note: Before cleaning carpets, empty the water reservoir and remove the mopping cloth attachment.

When using the mopping system, tuck the edges of small carpets under their base so DEEBOT does not drive over them. Use only water; do not add detergent or other cleaning solutions to the reservoir.

Note: When DEEBOT finishes mopping, empty any remaining water from the reservoir.

4. Maintenance

Before performing cleaning and maintenance, turn off the robot vacuum and unplug the charging dock.

4.1 Optional Mopping System Maintenance

4.2 Dustbin and Filters

5. Light and Sound Signals

In case of malfunctions, the DEEBOT's indicator light will illuminate and a sound signal will be emitted. For more detailed support, access the ECOVACS app or website.

Sound Signals

Sound Signal Problem Solution
Single beep Main or side brush is tangled. Clean the main or side brush as per Section 4 "Maintenance".
Two beeps Anti-fall sensor malfunction. Clean the anti-fall sensor with a cleaning cloth.
Three beeps Dustbin is not installed correctly. Ensure the dustbin is installed. If so, remove and reinstall it correctly.
Continuous beeps Robot vacuum is lifted off the floor, or drive wheels are tangled. Place the robot vacuum on the floor or gently tap the bumper and clean the drive wheels as per Section 4 "Maintenance".

6. Troubleshooting

No. Malfunction Possible Causes Solutions
1. DEEBOT not charging. DEEBOT is not powered on.
DEEBOT is not connected to the dock.
Battery is fully discharged.
Turn on DEEBOT.
Ensure robot charging contacts are connected to dock terminals.
Restore battery: Turn on DEEBOT. Place DEEBOT on the dock manually, hold for 3 seconds, then remove. Repeat 3 times; then charge normally.
2. DEEBOT cannot return to the dock. Dock is not positioned correctly. Refer to Section 3.2 for correct dock placement instructions.
3. DEEBOT bumps into obstacles during operation and stops. DEEBOT is tangled in objects on the floor (cords, long curtains, carpet tassels, etc.). DEEBOT tries various solutions. If the robot cannot resolve the issue independently, remove the obstacle manually and restart the device.
4. DEEBOT returns to the dock before cleaning is complete. Low battery level. This is normal. No action required.
5. DEEBOT does not clean at the programmed time in automatic mode. Time programming function is disabled.
DEEBOT is powered off.
Low battery level.
Program DEEBOT for cleaning via the ECOVACS app.
Turn on DEEBOT.
Keep DEEBOT on the dock until fully charged to be ready at any time.
6. DEEBOT does not clean the entire area. Cleaning area is not tidy. Before DEEBOT starts, clear small objects from the floor and tidy the cleaning area.
7. Water does not dispense from the reservoir during mopping. Water ran out in the reservoir.
Water outlet holes at the bottom of DEEBOT are clogged.
Refill the reservoir.
Check and clean the water outlet holes at the bottom.
8. DEEBOT cannot connect to the home Wi-Fi network. Incorrect Wi-Fi username or password.
DEEBOT is out of Wi-Fi range.
Network setup started before DEEBOT was ready.
Enter the correct Wi-Fi username or password.
Ensure DEEBOT is within Wi-Fi range.
Turn the power switch to "ON". Press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds. When DEEBOT is ready for network setup, a melody will play, and the Wi-Fi indicator will flash slowly.
9. Remote control error (range 5m / 16'). Battery replacement needed in the remote control.
DEEBOT is powered off or has a low battery.
Infrared signal cannot be transmitted because the IR emitter on the remote control or the IR receiver on DEEBOT is dirty.
Other equipment interferes with the infrared signal transmission to DEEBOT.
Install a new battery, observing polarity.
Ensure DEEBOT is powered on and fully charged.
Wipe the IR emitter on the remote control and the IR receiver on DEEBOT with a clean, dry cloth.
Avoid using the remote control near other equipment that uses infrared signals.
