- If installing in a window, clean both sides of the glass. If it's a triple-rail window with a screen panel, remove it completely before installation.
- Ensure the unit is installed firmly and correctly according to the provided mounting instructions. Keep this manual and mounting instructions for future reference.
- Handle the unit with care to avoid cuts from sharp metal fins on the front and rear.

- This air conditioner has no user-serviceable parts. Always call an authorized Electrolux service center for repairs.
- Do not insert fingers or objects into the air discharge area.
- Do not start or stop the unit by unplugging the cord or turning off the main power.
- Do not cut or damage the cord. If damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service center.
- In case of malfunction (sparks, burning smell), stop operation immediately, unplug the cord, and call authorized service.
- Do not operate with wet hands.

- Avoid touching metal parts when removing the filter, as edges may be sharp.
- Do not use water inside the unit for cleaning; it can damage insulation and cause electric shock.
- Ensure electricity and the circuit breaker are off before cleaning.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
ATTENTION: The power cord has a built-in GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) for reduced shock hazard. Do not use this device to turn the unit on or off. Ensure the RESET button is pressed before operating. If the GFCI fails, the cord must be replaced by the manufacturer.

Maintenance should only be performed as recommended by the manufacturer. Service and repair requiring qualified personnel must be supervised by persons competent in handling flammable refrigerants.
- Do not modify the power cord length or use an extension cord.

- Follow instructions carefully for handling, installation, cleaning, or maintenance to avoid hazards.
- The unit uses flammable R32 refrigerant. During maintenance or disposal, recover refrigerant properly and do not vent it into the atmosphere.

- Keep ventilation openings clear.
- Store the unit to prevent mechanical damage.
- Store in a well-ventilated area.
Safe Handling of Refrigerant Systems:
- Personnel working with refrigerant circuits must be certified and competent. Training must follow UL 60335-2/40 standards.
- Examples of procedures include breaking refrigerant circuits, opening sealed components, and opening vented enclosures.
- Keep open flames or spark-generating devices away from the unit.
- Do not use any means to accelerate defrosting or cleaning other than what the manufacturer recommends.
- Store the unit in a room without ignition sources (open flames, gas appliances, electric heaters).
- Do not puncture or incinerate.
- Be aware that refrigerants may be odorless.
Transport, Marking, Disposal, and Storage of Refrigerant-Containing Equipment: Follow relevant transport, marking, disposal, and storage regulations.
Maintenance Information:
- Zone Controls: Perform safety checks before working on systems with flammable refrigerants.
- Work Procedure: Follow controlled procedures to minimize risks.
- Work Area: Ensure the area is safe, personnel are trained, and work is not done in enclosed spaces.
- Refrigerant Check: Use an appropriate detector for flammable refrigerants.
- Fire Extinguisher: Have a fire extinguisher readily available for hot work.
- Ignition Sources: Keep all ignition sources away from the work area. Post "No Smoking" signs.
- Ventilated Area: Ensure adequate ventilation during work.
- Refrigerant Equipment Checks: Ensure electrical components are suitable and correctly specified. Follow manufacturer service guidelines.
- Electrical Device Checks: Ensure safety checks are performed on electrical components. Do not connect power if a fault compromises safety.
- Replace sealed electrical components.
- Replace intrinsically safe components.
- Wiring: Check wiring for wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges, or environmental effects.
- Flammable Refrigerant Detection: Use electronic detectors. Do not use halide torches. Ensure detectors are suitable for the refrigerant and properly calibrated. Use leak detection fluids carefully, avoiding those with chlorine. If a leak is suspected, eliminate all open flames. If soldering is required, recover or isolate the refrigerant first.
Elimination and Evacuation: Follow conventional procedures for refrigerant circuit entry. For flammable refrigerants, follow best practices. Recover refrigerant safely, evacuate, purge with inert gas (optional for A2L), flush, and open the circuit. Recover refrigerant into approved cylinders. Purge systems with oxygen-free nitrogen to remove flammable refrigerants. Repeat as necessary. Do not use compressed air or oxygen. For flammable refrigerants, break vacuum with oxygen-free nitrogen. Repeat until no refrigerant is present. Ensure the vacuum pump exhaust is not near ignition sources.
Charging Procedures: Ensure no contamination occurs when using charging equipment. Use short hoses. Position cylinders correctly. Ground the system before charging. Label the system. Do not overfill cylinders. Pressure test the system after charging but before operation. Perform leak tests before leaving the site.
Retirement from Service: Ensure technicians are familiar with the equipment. Recover refrigerants safely. Take oil and refrigerant samples if analysis is needed. Ensure electrical power is available. Familiarize yourself with the equipment, isolate the electrical system, ensure mechanical handling equipment and PPE are available, and follow recovery procedures. Do not overfill cylinders (max 80% liquid). Do not exceed cylinder working pressure. Ensure cylinders and equipment are removed promptly and valves are isolated. Do not charge recovered refrigerant into another system unless it has been cleaned and checked.
Labeling: Label equipment as retired from service and emptied of refrigerant, including date and signature. Ensure labels indicate flammable refrigerant content.
Recovery: Recover refrigerants safely for maintenance or disposal. Use approved recovery cylinders. Ensure enough cylinders are available. Cylinders must be complete with pressure relief valves. Cool cylinders before recovery if possible. Recovery equipment must be in good working order, with instructions, and suitable for flammable refrigerants. Consult the manufacturer if in doubt. Use calibrated scales and leak-free hoses. Process recovered refrigerant according to local legislation. Do not mix refrigerants in recovery units or cylinders. When removing compressors or oil, ensure they are emptied to an acceptable level to prevent flammable refrigerant in the lubricant. Do not heat the compressor housing with open flames or ignition sources to accelerate this process. Drain oil safely.

Normal Sounds
Your air conditioner may produce normal operating sounds:
- 1. Bubbling/Hissing: A bubbling or hissing sound may be heard as refrigerant passes through the evaporator during normal operation.
- 2. Air Rushing Sound: You may hear the sound of air being moved by the fan at the front of the unit.
- 3. Sharp Clicking: Modern high-performance compressors may produce a sharp clicking sound during the cooling cycle.
- 4. Vibration: The unit may vibrate and make noise due to a weak wall or window structure, or incorrect installation.
- 5. Dripping or Splashing: Water droplets falling onto the condenser during normal operation can produce dripping or splashing sounds.
Note: Do not attempt to make holes in the base to eliminate normal sounds, as this will void the warranty.
Air Conditioner Functions
Electronic Control Panel: Familiarize yourself with the control panel and remote control. Functions can be controlled from the touch panel or the remote.

Remote Control:

Light Function: The display and LED indicators can be turned off by pressing the "Light" button on the remote. Pressing any other button will activate the unit briefly, then turn off the display again after 5 seconds of inactivity. Press "Light" again or disconnect power to cancel.
Battery Size: AAA. Precautions: Do not mix new and old batteries, or different battery types (alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable). Keep out of reach of children.
Operating Instructions
Instructions for the touch panel can also be used for the remote control.
To Turn On the Unit:

Note: The unit defaults to Cool mode with Eco function and Auto fan speed on first use. With Eco function, if the ambient temperature is below the set temperature, the fan will run for 3 minutes after the compressor turns off. The fan will then cycle for 2 minutes every 10 minutes until the ambient temperature rises above the set temperature, at which point the compressor will turn back on. Eco can be activated/deactivated via the Eco button, but is not valid in Fan Only mode.
Auto Function:

Note: In this mode, the fan runs continuously, and the compressor cycles on/off based on room temperature.

Note: The fan starts at low speed and adjusts to an appropriate speed based on room temperature. For example, if the room is not too warm, it stays at low speed. If the temperature rises quickly (e.g., door opened), it will go to maximum speed. The fan speed will readjust to the lowest setting once the temperature drops back down. Use the up/down buttons to manually change fan speed.

Note: Fan speed can be selected from four settings: Auto, Lo, Med, Hi, unless in "Auto" or "Dry" mode, or if the Sleep function is active.

Note: Use this function when cooling is insufficient due to air circulation or stale air. Open ventilation ducts while using this function, but close them during cool operation for maximum efficiency. You can choose your preferred fan speed. The display shows the current room temperature, not the set temperature.
Dry Mode:

Note: In this mode, the unit functions as a dehumidifier while cooling. The temperature will automatically increase by 2°F (approx. 1°C) every 30 minutes for 7 hours, then return to the original setting. The Sleep mode program can be canceled at any time by pressing the Sleep, Fan Speed, or Mode button again.
Filter Check Function:

Note: This function is a reminder to clean the air filter for efficient performance. The filter indicator LED illuminates after 250 hours of operation. To reset after cleaning, press the "Filter Reset" button.
Timer: Programmed Off/On Function:

To delay the stop (or start), press the Timer button when the unit is on or off. The "timer off" or "timer on" indicator will light up. Adjust the timer setting by pressing the UP (∧) or DOWN (V) arrows for increments of 0.5 hours up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. The setting confirms automatically in 5 seconds. The control counts down the time. Other settings remain unchanged until the timer stops or starts the unit.
The combination of delayed stop, delayed start, or both is practicable. The "timer off" and "timer on" indicators will illuminate. The timer setting can be canceled by pressing and holding the timer button for 2 seconds, or by pressing the ON/OFF button.
Remote Sensor Function (on some models):

Note: This function can only be activated via the remote control when the unit is in Cool mode. Point the remote at the unit and press the Remote Sensor button. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired temperature. The unit display shows the set temperature; the remote display shows the remote's temperature. The unit's control light indicates signal reception. The remote's light pulses with each signal. Signals are sent periodically until the function is deactivated by pressing the Remote Sensor button again. If the unit does not receive a signal for 7 minutes, the remote sensor function will stop until a new signal is received. The remote display only shows the remote's temperature.
To Change Display Unit (Fahrenheit/Celsius):

Note: The unit has an internal air cleaning device called an ionizer. Activating this function generates ions that attract and remove air impurities, providing cleaner, healthier air.

Error Codes
If the display shows "AS" or "ES", a sensor is failing. Contact your authorized Frigidaire service center.
Additional Information
ATTENTION:
- The unit should operate within an indoor temperature range of 60°F to 90°F (16°C to 32°C) and an outdoor range of 64°F to 109°F (18°C to 43°C). Performance may be reduced outside these temperatures.
- Air Direction Vanes: Control airflow direction. The unit has slidable vanes to direct air up/down and left/right. Adjust them as needed.
- Cooling Circuit Delay: The "cooling" circuit has a 3-minute automatic delay if the unit is turned on and off too rapidly to prevent compressor overheating and potential GFCI tripping. The fan continues to run during this time.
- Fan Only Mode Delay: There is a 2-second delay before the compressor turns off when selecting FAN ONLY mode.
- Temperature Control: The unit maintains the set temperature within a 2°F (approx. 1°C) margin between 60°F and 90°F.
- Power Failure Memory: After a general power outage, the unit will retain the last configuration and restore it once power is restored.

Care and Cleaning & Energy Saving Tips
Clean your air conditioner periodically to keep it looking new. Always disconnect power before cleaning to prevent fire and electric shock.
Cleaning the Air Filter:
Check the air filter at least monthly. Trapped particles can cause ice buildup on the cooling fins.
- Press the ventilation handle to the closed position (if applicable).
- Open the front panel.
- Grasp the filter by the center and pull it up and out.
- Wash the filter with mild liquid soap and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly. Gently shake off excess water. Ensure the filter is completely dry before replacing.
- Alternatively, clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner.
Attention: When replacing the air filter, ensure the tabs are at the top and face outward as shown in the illustration.

Cleaning the Casing:
- Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the casing and front panel with a soft, oil-free cloth or a cloth dampened with mild soapy water. Rinse and dry carefully.
- Never use harsh cleaners, wax, or polish on the casing.
- Wring out excess water from the cloth before cleaning around controls. Excess water can damage the unit.
- Reconnect power after cleaning.
Winter Storage: If storing the unit for winter, remove it carefully, cover it with plastic, or return it to its original packaging.
Energy Saving Tips:
- Do not block interior air outlets with curtains, blinds, or furniture; or exterior vents with bushes, fences, or buildings.
- Ensure the air conditioner capacity is appropriate for the room size for efficient operation.
- Install the unit on the side of the house that receives less direct sunlight.
- Close fireplace dampers and vents to prevent cold air escape.
- Keep window coverings closed during the hottest part of the day.
- Clean the air filter regularly.
- Proper insulation and weatherstripping help maintain indoor temperature.
- Shading the house with trees or awnings reduces the cooling load.
- Run heat-producing appliances (stoves, dishwashers, dryers, washers) during cooler parts of the day.
Limited Warranty
Your appliance is covered by a one-year limited warranty for functional repairs. For one year from the original purchase date, Frigidaire will pay for all repair costs or replacement parts found to be defective in material or workmanship during installation, use, and maintenance, as per instructions. After one year, the consumer is responsible for diagnosis, labor, and parts costs, plus any incurred expenses during service.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:
- Units with altered or missing serial numbers.
- Products transferred from the original owner or located outside the US/Canada.
- Rust on the interior or exterior.
- "Previously used" or "sample" products.
- Food loss due to refrigerator or freezer failure.
- Products used for commercial purposes.
- Service calls not related to defects (e.g., installation errors, user instruction).
- Costs for accessing the appliance (e.g., removing trim, cabinets).
- Service calls to replace consumables like bulbs, filters, knobs, or decorative parts.
- Additional costs for after-hours, weekend, holiday service, travel, or service in remote areas (including Alaska).
- Damage to the appliance or home finish occurring during installation.
- Damage caused by unauthorized service, non-genuine parts, abuse, misuse, improper electrical supply, accidents, fires, or natural disasters.
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties; Limitation of Legal Actions: The sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty is repair or replacement as stated. Implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to one year or the minimum period allowed by law, but never less than one year. Frigidaire is not liable for consequential or incidental damages. Some states/provinces may not allow exclusions or limitations on incidental/consequential damages or implied warranty duration.
