Quick Start

1. Install the Fieldpiece Job Link® app on your mobile device and sign up for an account if you are a new user.
2. Remove the single screw from the yellow battery cover and install 2 x AAA batteries.
3. Press and hold for 1 second to power on.
4. Open "Measurements" in the Job Link app and add the probe in the tool manager.
5. View live measurements on your mobile device from up to 300 meters away.

WARNING: Hand-tighten the female fitting to connect and disconnect. DO NOT use the plastic housing to increase leverage. This can cause damage and leaks and void the warranty.

Description

The JL3PR Job Link® pressure probe wirelessly transmits pressure measurements over a long range directly to the Fieldpiece Job Link® system mobile app.

Easily reach service ports in tight spaces with the angled 1/4" fitting. The rubber protective housing is both ergonomic and rugged for everyday use.

Set the switch to red or blue, and the app will immediately know which side of the system you are placing your pressure probe on.

The perfect balance of size and capability gives you exactly what you need to diagnose quickly and confidently day in and day out.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents.

Batteries

When the LED blinks red slowly, the batteries need to be replaced. Ensure the probe is powered off. Remove the single screw from the yellow battery cover. Install 2 x AAA batteries. You can also check battery life in the Job Link® app's tool manager.

Gasket

The black rubber gasket that seals the pressure probe to the service port can wear out over time and potentially cause a leak. This is due to overtightening or connecting to damaged service port fittings.

1. Use needle-nose pliers or a similar tool to unscrew the Schrader valve depressor from the gasket.
2. Remove and replace the worn gasket.
3. Screw the depressor back into the gasket.

High or Low Switch

The Job Link® system app knows which side you have selected for each probe. Select suction line or liquid line and place it on the system correctly.

Remote Data Logging

(Data logging will be available shortly after printing. Check for updates.)

Use the Job Link® system mobile app to program the JL3PR to log measurements from a specific time for up to 7 days. Automatic power off will be deactivated.

1. Ensure JL3PR is powered off.
2. Open the Job Link® system mobile app.
3. Press and hold for 5 seconds to enter data logging mode. The LED will be solid green.
4. Set the probe's data logging parameters within the app. The LED blinks green as the app sends setting instructions. The LED blinks slow blue when waiting for the programmed start time.
5. Place the JL3PR on the system.
6. When the programmed start time is reached, the LED blinks very slowly green to indicate logging has begun.
7. When the programmed span has elapsed, the LED blinks and turns off.
8. Repeat steps 1-3 and use the app to retrieve your logged data from the JL3PR.

Automatic Power Off (APO)

The pressure probe will automatically shut off after 2 hours. To disable APO, while powered on, tap the power button twice ?️. The LED will blink red briefly. To enable APO, while powered on, tap the power button twice ?️. The LED will light red briefly.

Automatic Calibration

Automatically calibrate your JL3PR by ensuring the sensor is open to the atmosphere when you power on the probe.

Limited Warranty

This product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase from an authorized Fieldpiece dealer. Fieldpiece will, at its option, replace or repair the defective unit, subject to verification of the defect.

This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, unauthorized repairs, modifications, or unreasonable use of the instrument.

All implied warranties arising from the sale of a Fieldpiece product, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the foregoing. Fieldpiece is not liable for loss of use of the instrument or other incidental or consequential damages, expenses, or economic loss, or for any claim for such damage, expense, or economic loss.
