- Ensure the water bucket is positioned correctly for proper operation.
Note: Be careful when moving the unit if the water bucket is full to avoid spills.
Removing Collected Water
There are three ways to remove collected water:
1. Use the Bucket
- Bucket Full Indicator: The "Full" indicator light illuminates when the bucket is full (unit may turn off). The digital display may show P2.
- Removal: Slowly pull out the bucket, gripping handles securely. Pull straight to avoid spilling. Do not place the bucket on uneven surfaces.
- Repositioning: Dispose of water and reposition the bucket. It must be securely seated for the unit to operate. The machine will restart once the bucket is correctly in place.
Notes:
- Do not touch internal parts when removing the bucket.
- Push the bucket gently all the way in.
- If the pump hose detaches (see Fig. 5), reinstall it before replacing the bucket (see Fig. 6).
- Dry any spilled water inside the unit.
- If the bucket is removed while the unit is ON, the compressor and fan turn off, the unit beeps 8 times, and the display shows Eb. The same occurs if the bucket is removed while the unit is OFF.
Diagram Description:
- [Figure 3]: Shows pulling out the bucket and holding both sides evenly.
- [Figure 4]: Shows pouring water out of the bucket.
- [Figure 5]: Illustrates the pump hose detaching.
- [Figure 6]: Shows how to reinstall the pump hose properly.
2. Continuous Draining
Water can be automatically emptied into a floor drain using a water hose (ID ≥ 5/16", not included) with a female threaded end (ID: M = 1", not included). On some models, the female threaded end is included.
- Setup: Remove the plastic cover from the back drain outlet. Insert the drain hose through the outlet and lead it to a floor drain or suitable facility.
- Ensure the hose is secure, with no leaks, and the end is level or down for smooth water flow.
- Direct the hose toward the drain, ensuring no kinks.
- Select desired humidity setting and fan speed to start continuous draining.
Note: When continuous draining is not used, remove the drain hose and dry the outlet.
Diagram Description:
- [Figure 7]: Shows removing the plastic cover counter-clockwise.
- [Figure 8]: Shows the drain hose connected to the unit.
3. Pump Draining (on some models)
Water can be emptied into a floor drain using a pump drain hose (1/4" OD, supplied).
- Setup: Remove the continuous drain hose and install the plastic cover clockwise. Insert the pump drain hose into the pump drain hose outlet (at least 15mm) and lead it to a floor drain.
- Press the pump pad on the unit to activate pump operation. The pump starts working when the bucket is full.
Note: The pump may generate loud noise for 3-5 minutes initially; this is normal.
- Ensure the hose is secure and free of kinks.
- Place the end of the hose into the drain, ensuring it is level or down.
- Select desired humidity setting and fan speed to start pump draining.
Troubleshooting Pump Operation: If the pump operation light blinks, turn off and unplug the unit. Check the pump filter (see Fig. 10), ensure the pump drain hose is not blocked, empty the bucket, and reinstall the hose properly. If the error repeats, call for service.
Note: Do not use pump draining below 0°C (32°F) to prevent freezing. Empty the bucket weekly when using pump draining. Remove the pump drain hose when not in use.

Installation Instructions
Positioning the Unit
A dehumidifier in a basement requires adequate air circulation. (See Fig. 12)
- Location: Do not use outdoors. Intended for indoor residential use only. Place on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit with a full bucket.
- Clearance: Allow at least 8 inches of air space on all sides for circulation, and at least 16 inches for the air outlet.
- Temperature: Operate in areas where the temperature will not fall below 41°F (5°C) to prevent coil frosting.
- Placement: Keep away from clothes dryers, heaters, or radiators. Use in enclosed areas to prevent moisture damage to valuables.
- Operation: Close all doors, windows, and other openings to the room for maximum effectiveness.
Diagram Description:
- [Figure 12]: Illustrates required clearance around the unit (8 inches on sides, 16 inches for air outlet).
Note on Casters: Casters are located at four points on the bottom of the unit and can move freely. Do not force casters over carpet or move the unit with water in the bucket, as it may tip over and spill water.
Care and Cleaning
Turn the dehumidifier off and disconnect the plug from the wall before cleaning.
1. Clean the Grill and Case
- Use water and a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or abrasives.
- Do not splash water directly onto the unit to avoid electrical shock or damage.
- Use a vacuum cleaner or brush to clean the air intake and outlet.
2. Clean the Bucket
- Every few weeks, clean the bucket thoroughly to prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria. Partially fill with clean water and mild detergent, swish, empty, and rinse.
Note: Do not use a dishwasher. The bucket must be securely seated for operation.
3. Clean the Air Filter
- Remove the filter every two weeks.
- To remove, pull the filter outwards (See Fig. 13).
- Wash the filter with clean water and dry it.
- Re-install the filter.
❗ CAUTION: Do not operate the dehumidifier without a filter, as dirt and lint can clog it and reduce performance.
Diagram Description:
- [Figure 13]: Shows how to remove the air filter.
4. When Not Using the Unit for Long Periods
- After turning off, wait one day before emptying the bucket.
- Clean the unit, water bucket, and air filter.
- Wrap the cord with the power cord buckle.
- Cover the unit with a plastic bag.
- Store the unit upright in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Troubleshooting Tips
Before calling for service, review this list. It may save you time and expense.
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
Unit does not start | Make sure the dehumidifier's plug is connected firmly into the wall outlet. Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box. Dehumidifier has reached its preset level or bucket is full. Water bucket is not in the proper position. |
Dehumidifier does not dry the air as it should | Did not allow enough time to remove the moisture. Make sure there are no curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking the front or back of the dehumidifier. The humidity control may not be set low enough. Check that all doors, windows, and other openings are securely closed. Room temperature is too low (below 5°C/41°F). There is a kerosene heater or something giving off water vapor in the room. |
The unit makes a loud noise when operating | Air filter may be dirty. Clean filter. Refer to Care and Cleaning section. The unit is tilted instead of upright. The floor surface is not level. |
Frost appears on the coils | This is normal. The dehumidifier has an Auto defrost feature. |
Water on floor | Hose to connector or hose connection may be loose. Intend to use the bucket to collect water, but the back drain plug is removed. |
ES, AS, P2, EC, Eb and E3 appear in the display | These are error codes and protection codes. See the CONTROL PADS ON THE DEHUMIDIFIER section. |
The pump operation on light blinks at 1 Hz | Clean the pump filter. Check the pump hose is not blocked or leaking. Empty the water bucket. |
